Planning ahead can bring reassurance, clarity and peace of mind for both you and your family. 🤍

A funeral plan is a way of arranging the funeral you want in advance. It allows you to record your wishes and pay for the funeral director’s services included within your chosen plan, helping to remove some of the uncertainty for those closest to you when the time comes.

At Waters & Sons, we work in partnership with Golden Charter to offer flexible funeral plans designed around individual wishes and circumstances. Golden Charter plans also include an allowance towards certain third-party costs, such as cremation or burial fees and the minister or officiant’s fee.

Everyone’s wishes are different, which is why we will always take the time to sit down with you, explain the options clearly and help you choose a plan that feels right for you. There is no pressure, simply straightforward information, guidance and support.

Planning ahead can also give your family the comfort of knowing what you wanted, helping them avoid difficult decisions at an already emotional time.

We recently shared some of David’s favourite things so you could get to know him a little better… and one thing he made very clear was that KitKats are his favourite chocolate bar.

Well… someone clearly took note!

Just look at how happy he was when he was surprised with not one KitKat… but a WHOLE BOX of them. Safe to say, that absolutely made his day!

We’re thinking David may have missed a trick though… perhaps he should have told us what his favourite car is too. You never know what might turn up next! 😂

Calling all bakers!

Our Macmillan Coffee Morning is coming up on Saturday 26th September, and while we’ll be providing plenty of cake ourselves, we would absolutely LOVE to see some of your beautiful bakes too.

If you fancy getting involved, we would be incredibly grateful for any cakes, cupcakes, traybakes or sweet treats that we can sell on the day to help raise as much money as possible for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Whether you’re a seasoned baker or just love getting creative in the kitchen, every single bake will help us add to the table, bring people together and most importantly raise vital funds for an amazing charity.

RAFFLE PRIZES NEEDED!

We’re getting ready for our Macmillan Coffee Morning on Saturday 26th September, and we would absolutely love the support of our wonderful local community and businesses.

We’re looking for raffle prizes of any kind to help us raise as much money as possible for Macmillan Cancer Support. Whether it’s a voucher, hamper, bottle, beauty treatment, meal, experience, gift or something completely different, every donation will make a difference.

All raffle prizes can be dropped into our Sholing branch, and as a thank you, every business that donates a prize will receive a shout-out on the day for supporting our fundraising as well as a social media post to say thank you 💚

If you own a local business, work for one that may be able to help, or know somebody who might be willing to donate, please tag them in the comments below.

Join us for a fun-filled Macmillan Coffee Morning at our Merryoak branch!

We’d love to welcome families, friends and members of the local community for a lovely day together, all while raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

There will be plenty going on for everyone to enjoy, including tea, coffee and cake, face painting, carriage rides, live music, plus our fun “guess how many balloons are in the limo” competition!

It’s going to be a relaxed, enjoyable day with lots for both adults and children to get involved in, and most importantly, every bit of support will help raise vital funds for such an important cause.

Our very own Max & Bertie had a wonderful time popping along to Dawson Lodge to join in their National Dog Day celebrations! 🐶❤️

It looks like they were thoroughly spoilt with puppachinos and plenty of tasty treats, although we’re sure they didn’t need much encouragement! 😂🐾

A huge thank you to everyone at Anchor - Dawson Lodge for making Max & Bertie so welcome and for putting on such a lovely day for all the four-legged visitors.
