Cacao doesn’t need to be a ceremony.

It doesn’t need the perfect setting.

The perfectly prepared altar.

The right music.

Or hours carved out of the day.

Sometimes it’s simply me, in my kitchen, making cacao.

It’s part of my everyday practice.

A small moment of intention.

A chance to check in with myself and notice what’s actually here.

And I think that’s something we can forget when spirituality online can look so bloody elaborate.

Your practices have to fit into your actual life.

The busy mornings.

The messy kitchens.

The days when you’ve got five minutes rather than fifty.

The sacred doesn’t become less sacred because it’s ordinary.

One of the biggest things I’ve been sitting with recently is this…

Let go of the how.

So many of us know what we think we want.

But then we become completely attached to how it’s supposed to arrive.

We decide the relationship has to look a certain way.

The career has to happen in a certain order.

The healing has to happen through a particular modality.

The opportunity has to come from a particular person.

And before we know it, we’ve made our desire so small that life has very little room to surprise us.

For me, the practice has been learning to stay with the longing.

Without becoming attached to the route it takes to get there.

Because the truth is, I don’t actually know what’s in my highest good.

I don’t know what life is trying to bring me.

What I can do is become deeply honest about what I’m longing for.

Then loosen my grip on how I think it’s supposed to arrive.

That feels like trust.

That feels like surrender.

That feels like living in relationship with life, rather than trying to control it.

🖤

I’m curious…

Where in your life are you holding on too tightly to the how?

Sometimes showing up for yourself isn’t perfectly prepared cacao.

Or elaborate rituals.

Or drippy candles.

Sometimes it’s squatting when you’re absolutely knackered.

On day two of your bleed.

In your oldest leggings.

Wearing period pants as well as your moon cup because your body has other ideas.

Making all the grunts and swooshing noises just to get through another set.

Sweating… a lot.

And showing up anyway.

I’ve realised something recently.

My spiritual practice doesn’t always look soft or graceful.

Sometimes it looks like lifting heavy.

Sometimes it looks like channeling my fire.

Sometimes it looks like choosing to keep going when I’d rather not.

Showing up is showing up.

Whether it’s pretty or not.

Both get to exist.

One isn’t more valuable than the other.

This Ta***ic Witch is keeping it human and messy…

Just how I like it.

September has a way of making us feel like we need to hit the ground running.

New routines.

Fresh starts.

Full calendars.

Pressure to catch up.

What if, instead, you gave yourself permission to begin this season differently?

Rise Circle is an invitation to slow down before life speeds up again.

To reconnect with your body.

To be witnessed.

To remember yourself amongst everything else that’s asking for your attention.

I’ll be holding Rise Circle in Southampton on Tuesday 8th September.

The circle is open to anyone who identifies as a woman or has a yoni, and I’d love to welcome you if it feels like the space you’ve been needing.

Summer has a funny way of pulling us in every direction.

Before we know it, we’ve spent weeks caring for everyone else and barely checked in with ourselves.

Rise Circle is an opportunity to pause.

Not to become someone different.

Not to fix yourself.

Simply to come back to yourself.

We gather in community, with honesty, curiosity and compassion, creating space to slow down and reconnect with the parts of ourselves that can so easily get lost in the noise of everyday life.

If you’ve been feeling the pull to reconnect with yourself, perhaps this is your invitation.

I’ll be holding Rise Circle in Southampton on Tuesday 11th August. The circle is open to anyone who identifies as a woman and has a yoni, and I’d love to welcome you if it feels aligned, please DM me if you'd like to come.

There.
I said it.
Not because I’m failing.

Not because I’m falling apart.
But because I’ve realised I’ve been buying into my own stories again.

The stories that tell me I need more followers.
More likes.
A prettier grid.
A better body.
A more polished version of me.
The stories that whisper I’m not doing enough.
That I need to try harder.

Be more.
Say it better.
Look different.
And the irony?

This is exactly what I help people untangle every single day.
I’m not separate from the work.
I’m in it.

Constantly.

Healing doesn’t mean you stop getting triggered.
It means you notice it sooner.

You take responsibility.
You laugh at yourself occasionally.
Then you choose differently.

So right now, that’s what I’m doing.
Choosing to stop performing.
Choosing to stop chasing perfection.
Choosing to trust that the people who are meant to find me don’t need the polished version of me.

They need the real one.
The woman who’s still learning.
Still questioning.
Still getting things wrong.
Still healing.
And still showing up anyway.

Because that’s the version of me I would want to work with.

Not someone who pretends they’ve got it all figured out.

What’s one story you’re ready to stop believing about yourself?
