An absolutely magical afternoon at Rownhams Manor Care Home today.
Residents and families were delighted to meet our new guinea pig.
We are regular visitors on a weekend, but everyone was delighted to meet our ‘surprise baby guinea pig’ born on 17/07/26 very unexpectedly!
The last time we visited we had 2 14 week old piggies and today it was a joy to introduce ‘ Baby’.
Baby gender to be revealed on 09/08/26…..😉
Comments from residents such as :
“This had made me so very happy, thank you”
“Can we keep them here forever?”
“We can share the baby”
all made our hearts melt beyond belief.

Yesterday, our residents enjoyed trying a fun new chair-based activity! 🎈

The challenge was to work together to keep the balloons in the air for as long as possible. There was plenty of laughter, teamwork, and friendly competition, making it a fantastic way to encourage gentle movement, coordination, and social interaction.

A wonderful time was had by all, and we can't wait to enjoy this activity again! 🤍

Our cinema was transformed into a cricket pitch by the always wonderful RISE.

A new resident who I learned was a professional cricket player for Surrey, gave the ladies some tips!

Followed upstairs by our amazing saxophonist!

Such a wonderful afternoon sharing songs and music with The Nursling & Rownhams Brass Band at Rownhams Manor.

We were treated to lyric sheets so the residents could sing along ( some staff too!) .

It’s always such a joy and uplifting feeling to see the delight that music brings.

Much appreciated and enjoyed!
