Some things cost money.

Some things are priceless.

Taking my eldest daughter to Wembley for the very first time was one of those moments I’ll never forget.

The result didn’t quite go the way we wanted.

Rovers getting stuffed like a Christmas Turkey.

But rugby has always been about more than what happens on the pitch.

It was the journey up.

The excitement building in the car.

The sea of shirts and scarves.

Bumping into family and friends along the way.

The conversations, laughter, and shared anticipation.

And then walking into Wembley and seeing her face take it all in for the first time.

The atmosphere was electric.

Tens of thousands of people brought together by hope, passion, and belonging.

As a dad, those are the moments you treasure.

Not because they’re perfect.

But because they’re shared.

Years from now, I doubt we’ll talk much about the score.

But we’ll remember the day.

The people.

The noise.

The experience.

And the privilege of making memories together.

Rugby has a funny way of doing that.

There are people God places in your life at the exact moment you need them most.

For me, one of those people has been Pastor Daniel.

He’s about to take some well deserved down time with his family.

And honestly.

I’m going to miss him.

I’m going to miss our chats about the Lord.

Our random little adventures.

The conversations that somehow always seem to bring clarity when life feels noisy.

And I just wanted to publicly thank him and his family for being such a guiding light.

At the start of last year, if I’m honest, I wasn’t handling grief in a healthy or resourceful way.

My heart was breaking in half.

But like many men do, I tried to keep moving.

Keep performing.

Keep pretending I was alright.

I wore the mask well.

But internally the cracks were opening wider and wider.

Then God started putting the right people around me.

And the more time I spent with Daniel, the more my perspective began to change.

Not through pressure.

Not through religion.

Not through someone pretending to have all the answers.

But through genuine love, patience, honesty and pointing me towards Jesus.

The more time I spent seeking Jesus, the more my heart slowly started healing.

That’s something I’ll always be grateful for.

Daniel truly is a “come as you are” kind of man.

And you can feel that in the church he and his wife have built.

A place where people don’t have to pretend.

A place where broken people can breathe.

A place where grace is not just words.

And in a world where many people feel isolated, judged or spiritually exhausted.

That matters deeply.

So brother, thank you.

Thank you for the prayers.

Thank you for the conversations.

Thank you for the guidance.

Thank you for reminding me that God is still close to the broken-hearted.

Enjoy the rest and family time mate.

You’ve earned it.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”

Two years ago Shella walked into U21 looking for change.

Yesterday she walked in absolutely buzzing.

And honestly, moments like that are what this is all about.

Over the last two years, through consistent work.

Patience and showing up even when life was busy, she has dropped 23 kilos of body fat, built muscle and reduced her visceral fat score by 12 points.

No shortcuts.

No “magic” fixes (there’s so many these days).

Just commitment, honesty and learning how to make fitness part of her life instead of something temporary.

But the biggest transformation was never just physical.

It was her mindset.

The confidence.

The belief in herself.

The energy she brings into the room now.

That quiet understanding that she is capable of hard things.

So proud of you Shella.

Consistency builds momentum.

This Sunday afternoon was powerful.

Not because of lights, music or some polished production.

Because of people.

Real people honestly sharing how Jesus changed their lives.

Story after story of people finding peace where there was once chaos.

Purpose where there was emptiness.

Connection after years of feeling alone.

And that word alone really stayed with me today.

Because you can be surrounded by people and still feel isolated internally.

Still carrying pressure, anxiety, noise and unanswered questions quietly in your own head.

Especially as men.

We keep moving.

Keep performing.

Keep distracting ourselves.

But underneath it all many are exhausted spiritually.

Then this afternoon you hear testimony after testimony saying:

“I finally found peace.”

Not perfect lives.

Peace.

The kind that steadies you internally even when life still feels messy.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.”

(John 14:27)

What made today even more special was baptising my good friend Louie.

Standing beside him as he publicly declared his commitment to Jesus Christ was something I’ll never forget.

Taking him under the water.

Bringing him back up to people cheering around him.

Watching the smile on his face afterwards genuinely moved me.

Not because he suddenly became perfect overnight.

But because there was this visible sense of surrender.

Belonging.

Relief.

Like someone finally realised they no longer have to carry life alone.

Today reminded me again.

Transformed lives will always speak louder than arguments.

Today’s Poppy’s birthday.

And I can feel the shift.

She’s not my “little girl” in the same way anymore.

But somehow, we’re closer than ever.

Less me just being her dad.

More me getting the privilege of knowing her as a person.

A best friend.

And I won’t lie that’s a strange feeling.

Proud.

Grateful.

And yeah.

A little bit of “slow it down” if I could.

Because watching who she’s becoming is something else.

Pops, I’m so impressed with you.

The way you carry yourself around others.

The way you speak.

The way you treat people.

That’s not something you can fake.

That’s you.

And if you ever choose to go into the fitness world.

You won’t just be good at it.

You’ll make a real impact.

Because people won’t just train with you.

They’ll feel better because of you.

And that matters more than anything.

Massive thank you to everyone who came down for the BBQ yesterday.

It meant a lot to us.

And to those who turned up this morning for Poppy’s birthday workout.

That’s what she’ll remember.

People showing up for her.

That’s special.

Happy birthday Pops.

Love you more than you’ll ever know.

Before I take this global and slap a trademark on it.

I need a ruling from the public.

I may ‘may’ have just created the greatest burger known to man.

Working title.

The Fallon Burger.

We’re talking.

M&S Best Ever Beef Burger.

Spicy cheese.

Halloumi.

Chorizo sausage.

This isn’t a meal.

This is a life decision.

Now before I go full Dragons’ Den with it.

Has this been done before?

Or am I about to change the burger game forever?

Serious answers only.

(And by serious, I mean biased in my favour.)

Do you see the young lady in the middle of the photo?

That’s Talia.

And honestly.

I’m blown away by her.

At 17 years old, the level of maturity, discipline, and intent she carries is rare.

She’s been working alongside me at the gym.

Helping build the U21 brand through social media.

And what she creates isn’t just “good for her age”

It’s exceptional.

Full stop.

Her eye for detail, her creativity, the way she tells stories through content.

It’s a gift from God.

But what’s impressed me even more lately.

Is the decision she’s made behind the scenes.

She’s stepped into the gym herself.

0700 sessions on a Saturday.

Quiet work.

No fuss.

Just turning up and getting after it.

That says everything about her.

She’s not just building a brand.

She’s building herself.

And this year, we’ve started working together on something even bigger.

Spreading the gospel through Instagram and YouTube.

Using the very gifts she’s been given, not just to grow a business.

But to point people towards something greater.

That takes courage.

At any age.

Let alone 17.

Talia also runs her own business and it’s growing fast.

Not by chance.

But because she’s consistent, she cares, and she’s willing to do the work most people avoid.

As a dad.

I look at young people like her and feel a real sense of hope.

She’s becoming a brilliant role model to my girls.

And somewhere along the way, she’s become a dear friend too.

Proud of you, Talia.

Keep going.

You’re only just getting started. .thecreative
