Join us during S*xual Health Week for an afternoon of health, wellbeing, information and support at our Community Health & Wellbeing Event.

🕐 1:00pm – 4:30pm
📍 Trinity Methodist Church, Westcliff-on-Sea, Southend, SS0 7HL

✅ Free HIV, Chlamydia, Syphilis & Gonorrhoea testing
✅ Information and advice
✅ Community stalls
✅ Support from local services
✅ Free, confidential and open to everyone

We are looking for local organisations, community groups and partners to get involved. If you would like to have a stall, provide information, offer activities, or support the event in any way, please get in touch.

Together we can help connect residents to services, improve health and wellbeing, and promote health awareness across our community.

At Brook we believe that telling your s*xual partners that you have an STI is the right thing to do. This can be nerve-wracking, but there are lots of ways you can prepare for the conversation that make it feel easier.

The s*xual health clinic who you completed your test with will help you contact any previous partners. S*xual health services will often offer you the opportunity to use a ‘partner notification’ service to let them know. This sends them a text letting them know that they need to get tested and it won’t mention your name.

Unprotected s*x is any sort of s*x where protection isn’t used 🍌

It is often used to mean having s*x without a condom or when a method of contraception or barrier method has failed (for example, a split condom or a missed pill).

Having unprotected s*x can put you at risk of s*xually transmitted infections (STIs) or unplanned pregnancy, so it’s important to take action soon after it happens to keep yourself and your partner safe.
