✨ Is your horse or dog making the most of summer… or just getting through it?

Summer often means more adventures, competitions, longer walks and days spent outdoors. While that’s great for keeping our animals active, it also places extra demands on their bodies.

Just because they’re coping doesn’t always mean they’re moving comfortably. Animals are brilliant at compensating, often hiding signs of discomfort until the problem becomes more noticeable.

Regular chiropractic treatment can help maintain mobility, support performance and keep your animal feeling their best throughout the season.

Whether your horse is competing or your dog is your favourite walking companion, I’d love to help keep them happy, comfortable and moving well.

A day in my life as an animal chiropractor 🐾

Adjustments, tail wags, and a lot of happy hooves. From helping stiff pups move freely again to keeping horses performing at their best — every patient reminds me why I love what I do.

Healing hands, furry patients, and a job that never feels like work. 🐶🐴💆‍♀️

Winter can be tough on spines ❄️🐾

Here are 3 ways winter affects spinal mobility in animals:

1️⃣ Cold = Muscle Tension
Lower temperatures cause muscles to tighten, reducing flexibility and increasing strain on the spine.

2️⃣ Less Movement = Stiffness
Shorter days and icy weather often mean less activity. Decreased movement leads to joint stiffness and reduced spinal mobility.

3️⃣ Slippery Ground = Compensation
Snow and ice change gait patterns. Pets may brace, slip, or alter their stride — creating spinal misalignments and muscle imbalances.

Keep your pets moving, warm, and aligned this winter 🐶🐴✨

Cold weather can quietly change how your animal moves.
Stiffness doesn’t always look dramatic — often it’s subtle at first.
Catching it early makes a huge difference in comfort and performance.
If you’re unsure whether what you’re seeing is normal, I’m happy to chat.
