A wonderful evening celebrating our amazing volunteers.

Last night, we enjoyed our volunteer celebration meal, a chance to say a heartfelt thank you to the incredible people who generously give their time, skills, and compassion to support Abacus Counselling & Support.

Twice a year, we come together to celebrate our volunteers, recognise everything they do, and enjoy spending time together away from our day-to-day work. It's a wonderful opportunity to strengthen friendships and thank those who make such a difference to our charity and the local community.

To every one of our amazing volunteers, thank you. Your dedication, kindness, and commitment mean so much, and Abacus simply wouldn't be the same without you. 💛

Abacus Counselling and Support is looking for a new accountant to help run its accounts and payroll.

As a local charity, we're hoping to find an accountant who has experience working with charities and may be able to offer their services at a reduced rate or on a pro bono basis.

Loneliness isn’t always about being by yourself. Sometimes it can be feeling disconnected, misunderstood, or like no one really knows what you’re going through.

During this Loneliness Awareness Week, we want to remind you that reaching out is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Whether it’s a conversation with a friend, a family member, or a professional, connection matters. Having someone listen can make a real difference.
