It’s always a pleasure to welcome such a dedicated group into our home, and we truly appreciate the time and joy they bring to our residents each month.

Before the summer heat arrived, our Steady Steppers Walking Club enjoyed some lovely walks together throughout July. ☀️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

With the warmer weather, we took extra care to keep everyone safe, so we had fewer walks than usual. Even so, every outing gave us the chance to enjoy some fresh air, gentle exercise, and great conversation.

We’re looking forward to getting back to more regular walks as the weather cools. 💚

We beat the heat this week by bringing a little summertime magic around the home with our very own Ice Lolly Trolley! 🍦☀️

After decorating our trolley we played the familiar ice cream van tunes as we made our way through the home, bringing a refreshing ice lolly to everyone.

It was a lovely trip down memory lane as well as the perfect way to cool off. A simple treat, a familiar tune, and lots of happy faces made for a wonderful afternoon! 💙🍧

We were pleased to welcome Reverend Claire from Holy Trinity Church for another uplifting visit with our residents. ⛪💙

Together we enjoyed a time of worship through familiar hymns, followed by a thoughtful craft activity that encouraged creativity and conversation. These visits are always a valued part of our monthly programme, bringing comfort, connection, and joy to everyone involved. 🎶✨

Our residents had great fun making their own delicious pastries using ready-made pastry, choosing from tasty fillings including cheese, jam, chocolate, and marmalade. Everyone put their own twist on their creations by folding or plaiting the pastry before it was baked to golden perfection.

Of course, the best part was sitting down afterwards to enjoy their freshly baked treats with a lovely cup of tea. A simple activity, plenty of smiles, and some very tasty results! 💙🍫🧀🍓

🎥 Here’s a little look at all the fun from our Sports Day with Rise! ⚽🏅

There was plenty of determination, laughter, and friendly competition as our residents took on the goal challenge. From carefully aiming their throws to giving the ball a good kick, everyone had a fantastic time and loved cheering each other on.

A little throwback to last week with our fantastic Sports Day with Rise! ⚽🏅

Our residents had a wonderful time putting their aim and teamwork to the test in a fun goal challenge, earning points with every successful throw and kick. There was plenty of laughter, friendly competition, and lots of cheering each other on along the way!

A big thank you to the team at Rise for spending the day with us and bringing such a fun activity to Whittingham House. We all had a brilliant time! 💙

We’ve had a fantastic time cheering on England throughout this year’s World Cup! ⚽🇬🇧

From victories over DR Congo, Mexico and Norway to last night’s hard-fought semi-final against Argentina, our residents have enjoyed coming together to watch every match, celebrate the goals, and share in the excitement.

While it’s disappointing that it’s not coming home this time, we’re incredibly proud of the team’s efforts and the memories we’ve made watching the tournament together. Thank you, England, for giving us plenty to cheer about! ❤️🤍

Eyes down for another fun-filled game of bingo at Whittingham House! 🎉

Although our friends from the Whittingham Experience Project weren’t able to join us this time, they were incredibly kind and sent along some fantastic prizes for our residents to enjoy. A huge thank you for your continued support and generosity—it was very much appreciated by everyone.

We had a wonderful afternoon of friendly competition, laughter, and plenty of lucky winners. We look forward to welcoming the Whittingham Experience Project back on the first Tuesday in August! 💙
