💜 Clear, honest pricing. No hidden costs.

Do you think care providers should display their prices openly?

One thing I’ve always believed is that choosing care for yourself or a loved one shouldn’t mean chasing quotes or wondering what the final bill will be.

That’s why my prices are available for everyone to see. Whether you need companionship, personal care, respite support or help getting out and about, you’ll always know exactly what you’ll pay.

As a small, independent home care provider, I can offer a personal service with transparent pricing from the very first conversation.

If you’d like to find out more or simply have a chat about how I may be able to help, please feel free to get in touch.

💜 A little update from Emma’s Homecare…

I’ve been a little quieter on here recently, and that’s simply because life has been wonderfully busy!

Between caring for my amazing clients, introducing some lovely new Emma’s Homecare branded accessories, cheering on school performances and class assemblies, celebrating a very special double-digit birthday, and fitting in a little pamper time for the girls… the days have absolutely flown by!

Running a small business while raising a family certainly keeps me on my toes, but I truly wouldn’t have it any other way. Every day brings something different, and I’m so grateful that I get to do a job I genuinely love.

I also want to give a very special thank you to my eldest daughter, Charley. 💜

Behind the scenes, she’s my biggest supporter, my sounding board, my emergency backup, and quite honestly my life support some days! Whether she’s helping with the girls, stepping in when I need her, or simply reminding me that I’m doing okay, I honestly couldn’t do this without her. I’m incredibly proud of the amazing young woman she’s become.

And finally, thank you to everyone who continues to support, recommend and trust Emma’s Homecare. Every like, share, recommendation and kind word means more than you know and helps my little business continue to grow.

Here’s to making many more memories—both with my wonderful clients and with my family. 💜✨

💜 Wow… thank you! 💜

When I started Emma’s Homecare, I could only hope that people would trust me to care for their loved ones.

Today, thanks to all of your shares, recommendations, and support, I am currently fully booked.

I don’t like the idea of people contacting me only for me to have to say no, so I wanted to let everyone know that I am unable to take on any new clients right now.

I’ll be sure to post here if any availability becomes available in the future.

Thank you for supporting my little business and for trusting me to do what I love every day. 💜✨

Good morning all!

Hope everyone is enjoying the sun 🌞

Just a little reminder to check on those around us who are vulnerable at this time.

Heatwaves can be very dangerous for elderly loved ones.

As temperatures rise, older adults can become dehydrated much faster than we realise. Sometimes they may not feel thirsty, even when their body needs fluids.

A few simple things can make a huge difference:
💜 Offer drinks regularly
💜 Keep rooms cool with blinds/curtains closed
💜 Avoid going out during peak heat
💜 Wear loose, lightweight clothing
💜 Check in regularly on elderly neighbours or relatives

Some foods can also help keep hydration levels up naturally 🍉🥒🍓

Hydrating foods include:
• Watermelon
• Strawberries
• Cucumbers
• Lettuce
• Tomatoes
• Celery
• Oranges
• Grapes

Signs of dehydration can include:
⚠️ Confusion
⚠️ Dizziness
⚠️ Headaches
⚠️ Dry mouth
⚠️ Dark urine
⚠️ Increased tiredness

A little extra care during hot weather goes a long way 💜

💜 Comfort & familiarity matter 💜

During dementia, the world can sometimes feel confusing, overwhelming or unfamiliar.

Often, it’s the smallest familiar things that bring the most comfort:

☕ a favourite cup
🎵 a familiar song
📸 old photographs
🛋️ a favourite chair or blanket
🚶 a regular walk or routine

These little moments can help someone feel calm, reassured and connected.

I remember a client I cared for 2 years ago who loved a particular song.
I would play it on repeat and every time it was like she was hearing it for the first time ever. Her whole face would light up and she would dance like no one was watching! Moments like that would remind me how powerful familiar music and memories can be.

Sometimes it’s not about “fixing” things or having all the answers — it’s simply about helping someone feel safe, understood and not alone.

💜 Dementia Action Week 💜

Sometimes, small changes in the way we speak can make a huge difference to someone living with dementia.

It’s not always about having the “perfect” words — it’s about helping someone feel safe, heard and reassured.

Instead of:
❌ “I already told you that.”
💜 Try:
✅ “That’s okay, let’s go through it together.”

Instead of:
❌ “Don’t you remember?”
💜 Try:
✅ “Would it help if I reminded you?”

Instead of:
❌ “You’re confused.”
💜 Try:
✅ “I’m here with you.”

Kindness, patience and reassurance can help reduce anxiety and frustration far more than correction ever will. ✨

💜 Communication matters 💜

Sometimes dementia can make words difficult, confusing or overwhelming.

Simple picture boards like this can help reduce frustration and support independence by allowing someone to point to what they need, want or feel.

Small changes can make such a big difference in helping someone feel calm, understood and reassured 💜

🟣💜 Dementia Action Week 💜🟣

At Emma’s Homecare, dementia care isn’t just part of the job — it’s something close to my heart.

This Dementia Action Week, I want to help raise awareness, understanding, kindness and patience for those living with dementia and the families supporting them every single day. 🕊️

A person living with dementia is still them.
They still deserve dignity, warmth, laughter, conversation, routine, reassurance and compassion. Sometimes the smallest things — a familiar voice, a cup of tea, a calm outing, or simply sitting together — can make the biggest difference. ☕✨

Dementia can feel incredibly isolating at times — not only for the person living with it, but for loved ones too. A little patience, understanding and kindness can go such a long way. 💜

To everyone caring for someone with dementia in any way — family, friends, neighbours or carers — you’re appreciated more than you know. 🕊️

✨ BIG MILESTONE FOR EMMA’S HOMECARE ✨

Emma’s Homecare is now officially live on Google! 💜

The last 8 months of building my little business have been such a rollercoaster, but seeing it finally appear on Google makes it all feel very real 🥹

Thank you so much to everybody who has supported, shared posts, recommended me and trusted me to care for your loved ones.

If anybody I’ve supported would like to leave a Google review, it would truly mean the world to a small local business like mine 💜

Every review, share and recommendation helps more families find compassionate, personalised home care support.

Thank you all so much ✨

☀️🎢 Making memories today!

One of the best parts of my job is helping people enjoy life, not just manage day-to-day routines. Today I’m spending the day at Adventure Island with one of my lovely SEND clients for some fun, fresh air, laughter and sensory-friendly enjoyment 🌈💜

Days out like these help build confidence, independence, social skills and most importantly… happiness 😊

At Emma’s Homecare, I believe care should include smiles, experiences and making special memories — whether that’s a trip to the seaside, shopping, appointments, coffee dates or a full adventure day like today 🎠✨
