At a time when everything can feel overwhelming, it is our privilege to offer calm guidance, compassionate support and genuine care to the families who place their trust in us.
What incredibly kind words. We’re honoured to have been able to help make such a difficult time a little easier to bear for this family and to ensure their beloved Mum was treated with the dignity and respect she deserved.
The trust of the families we support means more than we can say. πŸ’œ

When someone is grieving, it's not always easy to know what to say or do. Often, the smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest difference. πŸ’œ
πŸ€— Be there. Sometimes, simply listening without trying to find the "right" words is the greatest comfort you can offer.
🀲 Offer practical help. Whether it's preparing a meal, running errands or helping with everyday tasks, practical support can ease some of the burden during a difficult time.
πŸ—“οΈ Remember that grief doesn't have a timeline. Continue to check in with them in the weeks and months that follow. Knowing someone is thinking of them can mean more than you realise.
Supporting someone through grief isn't about having all the answers, it's about reminding them they don't have to face it alone.
If you or someone you know is struggling with the loss of a loved one, speak to our team about our bereavement support groups.
We hold regular sessions that offer relaxed, welcoming spaces where you can talk or simply listen amongst people who understand.

Music has a unique way of expressing emotions when words can be difficult to find. The right pieces can bring comfort, reflect a loved one's personality and create lasting memories for everyone attending the service.
Some families choose favourite songs that remind them of special moments, while others prefer traditional hymns, classical music or uplifting pieces that celebrate a life well lived. 🎼
There is no right or wrong choice – what matters most is selecting music that feels personal and meaningful.
If you're unsure where to begin, we're here to offer guidance and help you create a service that reflects your loved one's life in a way that feels right for you and your family.

Grief can feel overwhelming, and there is no right or wrong way to move through it. Sometimes, however, gentle moments outdoors can offer a little comfort. 🌿

During the summer months, spending time in the garden can be a simple way to reconnect with nature, find a sense of calm and give your mind somewhere peaceful to rest.

Planting flowers, watering pots, tending to a loved one’s favourite plant or simply sitting quietly among the greenery can become small, meaningful acts of remembrance.

Gardening gives us something to care for, something to return to and, in time, a quiet reminder that life continues to grow around us. 🌸

It does not take away the pain of loss, but it may help create moments of peace on difficult days.

At F.P. Guiver & Sons, we understand that grief is deeply personal. However you choose to remember someone special, our caring team is here to support you with compassion and understanding.
