Dr Simon Gough’s Day 5 of cycling the Alps for Forget Me Not Hospice.

Today was our final day, we cycled from Trento, past Lake Garda to Verona. What a beautiful country Italy is. You can’t visit it too many times. The aim was to raise money to support Forget Me Not Hospice. Please sponsor if you have not already.

Dr Simon Gough’s Day 4 of cycling the Alps for Forget Me Not Hospice (see video).

Today we cycled exclusively in Italy from Mariano to Trento. We are all so tiered after a huge day 3 we enjoyed a mere 61 miles and 1700ft of climbing. But what stunning scenery. It is amazing that nearly all the peaks we could see were taller than Ben Nevis, some three times its height.

Today we he set off from Nauders in the Austrian Alps and cycled to the Stelvio Pass in Italy then on to Morano - 90 miles and climbed 9500ft to Nauders (Italy).

Dr Simon Gough’s sponsored Alps ride for Forget Me Not hospice - Day 1 (of 5).

Today we he set off from Munich and cycled 82 miles and climbed 3900ft to Fussen.

They had hard cold rain until 2pm. But we’re blessed with some stunning views of the Alps. There are 16 of friends of friends riding from Uk, Columbia, France and Germany.

🚴‍♂️⛰️ THIS IS THE WEEK! ⛰️🚴‍♂️

This week, Simon takes on his next big challenge for charity!

Many of you know Simon as the chiropractor here at Calderdale Chiropractic, but outside of the clinic he has always loved cycling adventures. After previously cycling from Sowerby Bridge to Paris for charity, he is now preparing to cycle an incredible 450km from Munich to Verona through the Alps. 💪

Simon is raising money for our Charity of the Year, Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, which provides vital support to children and families across West Yorkshire. As a father of three, Simon knows how fortunate he is that his children have not faced serious health challenges, and hopes the funds raised will help support families going through the unthinkable.

Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice needs to raise around £5 million every year to continue providing its incredible services, and every donation makes a difference. 💛

Simon will be joined by 15 other riders, all taking on this challenge in support of their chosen charities.
