We’re incredibly grateful to Truro HC for making a donation to Talk Stick, which the club raised through their efforts on World Mental Health Day.

Their support will help Talk Stick continue its mission of getting people talking, breaking down barriers and raising awareness of mental health.

Every conversation matters, and together we can help create a community where people feel heard, supported and never alone.

At Talk Stick, we believe that no-one should ever feel they have to struggle in silence. Our mission is simple but powerful: to break down the stigma surrounding mental health, make conversations about wellbeing a normal part of everyday life, and encourage us all to check in on our mates. Most importantly, we want every-one to know that when life gets tough, there is always someone to talk to and somewhere to turn.

We're delighted that England Hockey goalscoring legend Sam Ward is supporting our mission! Sam has generously signed a special Talk Stick shirt, and we're giving you the chance to win it in our fundraising prize draw.

But this is about so much more than winning a shirt.
Every pound raised will help us take our message further, funding Mental Health First Aid training within hockey clubs across the UK and creating powerful, visible mental health awareness resources that encourage conversations, challenge stigma and remind people that they're never alone.

Because sometimes, one conversation can make all the difference. And together, we can create a hockey community where looking after each other's mental wellbeing is just as important as looking after each other on the pitch.

A huge thank you to NPUA England Hockey for a generous donation for Talk Stick! ❤️🧡

NPUA (national panel umpires association) officiate all national league hockey matches. We recently gave a talk to the umpires at their annual conference at the start of the season, and they are really supportive of the work we are doing.

We were lucky enough to be at Beeston HC v Old Georgians at the weekend to meet the umpiring team ahead of the fixture.
