✨ What our clients say… ✨

There’s something really special about reading your feedback. 🤍

Whether you’ve trusted me with your very first aesthetic treatment, come to me for your regular appointments, or simply wanted to feel a little more confident in your skin — I never take that trust for granted.

For me, aesthetics has never been about changing the way somebody looks. It’s about listening to what you want, giving you honest advice, and creating subtle, natural-looking results that still feel completely you.

And knowing that you leave my clinic feeling happy, confident and cared for? That will always be the most important part. 🫶🏼

Thank you to every single person who has chosen A. Smith Medical Aesthetics, recommended me to somebody else, or taken the time to leave a lovely review. It genuinely means more than you probably realise.

✨ STORY TIME ✨

When I was at university, trying to decide what to do with my nursing degree, I knew there were parts of nursing I genuinely loved. I loved A&E and the adrenaline of it, and I also loved the completely different side of nursing that came with end-of-life care. But neither ever felt like where I wanted my career to ultimately go, mostly because I knew I didn't want to spend my life working for someone else.

Then I discovered aesthetics, and something just clicked. I realised it was something I could genuinely see myself enjoying, but more importantly, I saw the potential for freedom. I could build something of my own, become a great medically-led aesthetic practitioner, and create a career around the kind of life I actually wanted.

That was the part other people struggled to understand.

I had people tell me I couldn't just go and work for myself, that I would need to work full-time alongside it, and that maybe I needed to be more realistic. When I said I didn't want to spend my whole life working for somebody else, I was told it was “just life” and that everyone has to work.

But I couldn't understand why that had to be my version of life.

Why should I have to ask permission to take a holiday? Why should I feel guilty for being unwell? Why should I spend my working life making somebody else's business successful while struggling to create the life I wanted for myself and my family?

It never sat well with me.

So I gave myself permission to dream about something different.

I didn't know exactly how I was going to get there, and I certainly didn't have everything figured out, but I started anyway. What began as an idea has grown into A. Smith Medical Aesthetics, and I'm still building it into something bigger.

That's why I refuse to stop dreaming big. Not because I think everything will be easy, but because I believe that if you want something different from the life you're living, you have to be willing to imagine that it could exist first.

Don't let someone else's idea of a “realistic” life become the limit of yours. 🤍

Be bold enough to dream, and brave enough to try. ✨

Sometimes the biggest thing standing between where you are and where you want to be is simply having the courage to take that first step.

I’ve learnt that you don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin. You just need to believe that something more is possible and be willing to work for it.

Dream bigger. Take the opportunity. Try the thing that scares you a little.

Because even if it doesn’t go exactly to plan, you’ll never have to wonder “what if I’d tried?”

Here’s to building a life and a career that actually feels like your own. 🤍

Be bold enough to dream.
Be brave enough to try.

And if you’ve been dreaming about building a career in aesthetics, maybe it’s time to take that first step. My aesthetics training courses are designed to give you the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to start building something of your own. ✨

You don't need another treatment. You might just need a better plan 🤍

One of the biggest things I see in aesthetics is people choosing treatments individually.

“I need Botox here.”

“I think I need filler there.”

“My friend had Profhilo, should I have that?”

But your face doesn't age in separate sections, changes in muscle activity, skin quality, volume, elasticity and facial structure all interact with one another.

That's why I don't believe in simply ticking treatments off a menu. At your consultation, we'll look at the bigger picture, what has changed, what you're noticing, what you'd like to improve and, just as importantly, what you DON'T need.

Sometimes the best aesthetic treatment is a treatment plan. And sometimes the best advice I can give you is to do less, because high-quality aesthetics shouldn't make people wonder what you've had done. It should make them think:

“You look really well.”

Is it just my algorithm, or are there constant reminders to breathe, unclench our jaws and relax our facial muscles recently!?

Did you know you can clench your jaw without even realising you’re doing it?

The masseter muscle is one of the main muscles responsible for chewing, but when we repeatedly clench or grind our teeth often subconsciously, particularly during periods of stress it can become overactive and tense.

Over time, this can contribute to:

• Jaw tension and pain
• Tension-type headaches
• Teeth grinding (bruxism)
• Tooth wear and sensitivity
• Increased pressure on the jaw joint
• And, if persistent and unmanaged, potential oral health problems

If you regularly wake up with a tight or aching jaw, suffer from headaches around the temples, notice yourself clenching throughout the day or have been told you grind your teeth at night, it may be worth discussing this with an appropriate healthcare or dental professional.

In clinic, anti-wrinkle treatment can sometimes be used therapeutically to reduce excessive masseter muscle activity, helping to relieve symptoms associated with jaw clenching and bruxism in suitable patients.

Your jaw deserves a little attention too. 🤍

If you’d like to find out more about masseter treatment and whether it may be suitable for you, get in touch.

A consultation is required to assess suitability. Treatment is not suitable for everyone.
