Please join us in wishing good luck to our resident John’s family members, Paul and Padge. On the 10th of September they will be taking part in the SkinFlint rally, driving all the way to Monaco and back in a car they have bought for £500!

This is to raise money for Parkinson’s UK Charity, a charity extremely close to Johns families hearts.

We’re so proud to support them as they take on this fantastic challenge for such an important cause. Wishing them a safe and successful rally! 👏

🧶☕ Knit & Natter at Dora Rose! ☕🧶

Our residents have been enjoying a lovely Knit & Natter session, bringing everyone together for some crafting, conversation and plenty of smiles! 💕

It’s wonderful to see our residents sharing their skills, enjoying each other’s company and getting creative together. 🧶😊

🎤🎶 What a fantastic afternoon of music and memories at Dora Rose! 🎶🎤

Our residents had a wonderful time singing along, clapping, and enjoying a brilliant live performance from Ava & Julia. There was plenty of laughter, smiles, and a great atmosphere as everyone joined in with some well-loved favourites.

⚽️ Football Shirt Day at Dora Rose! ⚽️

Get ready for a day of football fun as we celebrate the start of the new Premier League season on Friday 21st August! 🎉

Come along wearing your favourite football shirt and enjoy a penalty shootout, keepy-uppy challenge, football quiz, and a delicious stadium-style lunch with burgers and hot dogs. 🌭🍔

Yesterday we celebrated our wonderful Home Manager, Claire, with a surprise leaving party as she prepares to begin an exciting new chapter.💐💙

It was a truly special afternoon filled with smiles, laughter, and a few happy tears as residents and colleagues came together to thank Claire for everything she has done for Dora Rose.

One of the highlights of the celebration was a heartfelt speech from our Resident Ambassador, Winifred. Who spoke beautifully about the kindness, dedication, and positive impact Claire has had on everyone in our home.

Claire, thank you for your leadership, compassion, and unwavering support. You have made a lasting difference to the lives of our residents, families, and team, and you will be greatly missed.

🐐🐰 A Wonderful Visit from Farm on Wheels at Dora Rose! 🐹🐑

There were plenty of smiles, cuddles, and special moments as everyone enjoyed meeting and stroking the friendly animals. From guinea pigs and goats to other adorable farm favourites, the visit brought back happy memories and sparked lots of wonderful conversations.

Animal therapy is a fantastic way to promote wellbeing, encourage interaction, and brighten everyone's day—and judging by all the smiles, it was a huge success! 🥰

A big thank you to Farm on Wheels for bringing such joy to our residents. We can't wait to welcome you back again soon! 🌞🐾
