IC Osteopathy has a new home!

I’m pleased to share the news that I’ve moved the location of my clinic - just up the road, to join some great other local small businesses in the Business Innovation Centre on Staffordshire Technology Park at Beaconside (ST18 0AR).

With free parking onsite, a ground floor location and step-free access, the room is accessible for those struggling with mobility issues. I’m also delighted to have a window providing wonderful natural light! Plus plenty of space offering a great environment for osteopathy treatment.

I look forward to welcoming both returning, and new patients to my new treatment room.

Thank you to all my patients for your ongoing support.

Thank you to Becky for taking the time to share her experience ⭐️ Being able to help people, and them seeing the results is the reason I became an osteopath, so it’s always great to hear treatment is making a difference.

Is osteopathy good for arthritis?

Yes osteopathy can help arthritis. It can help reduce stiffness, improve movement, and manage flare‑ups. It won’t ‘cure’ arthritis, but it can make living with it much easier.

When you come to see me we will discuss the problems and areas of pain caused by your arthritis, in order to work out the best way to support and treat you to help reduce pain.

Can osteopathy help during pregnancy?

Osteopathy is generally considered safe and effective during pregnancy. It focuses on the body’s ability to adapt to the massive structural and hormonal changes occurring over those nine months.

As your pregnancy progresses, your body releases relaxin, a hormone that softens ligaments to prepare for birth. While helpful, this can lead to instability and pain.

Osteopathy can help during pregnancy to address:

- Lower Back Pain & Sciatica - Adjusting for the increased curve in your lower spine as your bump grows.
- Pelvic Girdle Pain (PGP) - Helping realign the pelvis and sacroiliac joints.
- Postural Tension - Relieving neck or upper back pain caused by changing breast weight and center of gravity.
- Circulation - Gentle movements can help reduce swelling (edema) in the legs and ankles.

I became an Osteopath because I wanted to help people, so it’s always great to hear treatment is making a difference. Thank you to Julie for the fantastic feedback on Google reviews! 🙏

‘I have been seeing Ian for some years now and I have always received excellent treatment which helps me so much every time.

Ian totally understands all of my issues with Arthritis and joint pain and is always so kind and respectful to me, explaining everything to me so I understand what he is doing and why. He also gives such good advice on diet and health products that could help improve my quality of life - very professional too!

Ian is simply the best osteopath there is, and I would highly recommend him.’

Thank you to Nicky for sharing her experience of osteopathy. It’s always great to hear, and see the positive impact of treatment in getting patients moving pain free once again. Many patients visit me for the first time having never been to an osteopath, are unsure how we work or have not seen benefits from physiotherapy or other types of treatment. I appreciate it can be daunting spending money on treatment when you don’t know what to expect, which is why I offer a satisfaction guarantee or your money back, on first appointments. You can find out more and book online via my website or drop me a message. I look forward to working with you to help ease you pain and get you moving again.
