🚨☀️ AMBER HEAT-HEALTH ALERT – SOUTH EAST ☀️🚨

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has issued an Amber Heat-Health Alert for the South East, in effect from 9am Tuesday 11 August until 9pm Friday 14 August.

An Amber alert means that hot weather is likely to have an impact on health across the population.

💙 Let's look out for one another.

Older people, people with long-term health conditions, those living alone, younger children and babies can be particularly vulnerable during periods of high temperatures.

Please remember to:

💧 Drink fluids regularly, where appropriate.
🏠 Keep your home as cool as possible.
☀️ Avoid direct sunlight, particularly between 11am and 3pm.
🪟 Close curtains/blinds in rooms facing the sun.
💊 Keep medicines safely stored away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
👀 Look out for dizziness, weakness, intense thirst, headaches, confusion or unusual tiredness.

If someone develops signs of heatstroke, call 999 immediately.
