💛 Volunteers' Week 2026 💛

I'm delighted to share that Beyond Mama has been awarded funding through the Tameside Volunteer Celebration Fund from Action Together.

As a new and growing community, this funding will help us celebrate and recognise the incredible volunteers who are helping to build Beyond Mama and support mothers across Tameside and surrounding areas.

Volunteers are at the heart of strong communities. Whether helping at events, welcoming new mums, supporting activities, or simply sharing a belief in what we're creating, every contribution matters.

A huge thank you to the women who have chosen to volunteer with us. Your support, encouragement and enthusiasm are helping us create spaces where mothers can connect, feel understood, and remember they don't have to do this alone.

Thank you also to Action Together for investing in local communities and recognising the value of volunteers through the Volunteer Celebration Fund.

Motherhood can be beautiful… but it can also feel relentless.

The constant mental load.
The overstimulation.
The pressure to keep going while quietly losing touch with yourself somewhere underneath it all.

Emerging is a small in-person support programme for mums who are craving space to pause, breathe, reconnect and feel more like themselves again 💛

Across 4 sessions, we’ll explore:
✨ nervous system regulation
✨ emotional wellbeing
✨ identity beyond motherhood
✨ rest, reflection and reconnection in a supportive community

The programme also includes:
💛 workbook and session materials
💛 refreshments at each session
💛 private WhatsApp support group

🌱 Starting July 2026
👩 Small supportive group (limited spaces)
💛 £35 deposit to secure your place

Sometimes what looks like irritability, disconnection, procrastination or “not coping well” is actually a nervous system that has been under pressure for too long.

When we live in constant overstimulation, responsibility, noise, mental load and emotional holding, the body adapts into survival mode.

That can look like:
• snapping more easily
• struggling to switch off
• feeling emotionally numb
• endlessly scrolling at night
• finding simple decisions overwhelming
• craving space from touch, noise or demands

This isn’t weakness.
And it doesn’t mean you’re failing.

Often, it’s a sign your body needs safety, support, rest and regulation, not more pressure.
