πŸŽ€ Together, we can make a difference πŸŽ€

For World Breast Cancer Research Day, we’re shining a light on the importance of breast cancer research and the progress it continues to make.

Research helps us understand breast cancer better, improve treatments and work towards earlier diagnosis and better outcomes for patients. πŸ’—

We also want to remind our community to know what is normal for you and speak to your GP if you notice a new or unusual change in your breasts.

Today, we remember those affected by breast cancer, support those currently facing it, and look forward to a future shaped by better research, better treatments and hope. 🌷

Thank you to our team for their continued commitment to high standards.

Air Quality Alert – Wildfire Smoke

With local wildfires and smoke affecting the area, air pollution levels may be higher than usual. This can worsen symptoms for people living with asthma, COPD and other lung conditions.
If you have asthma or COPD:

β€’ Continue taking your regular medication as prescribed.
β€’ Make sure you know where your reliever inhaler is and keep it with you if needed.
β€’ Follow advice to reduce your exposure to smoke where possible.

For practical tips on protecting your lungs during periods of poor air quality, visit:
https://www.asthmaandlung.org.uk/living-with/air-pollution/your-lungs

Please look after yourself, and check in on family members, friends and neighbours who may be more vulnerable.

Find out how different types of air pollutants affect your lungs, including breathing problems and lung cancer.

πŸ’™ Carers Week 2026 πŸ’™

This week is Carers Week, a chance to recognise and celebrate the incredible contribution made by unpaid carers across our community.

A carer is anyone who provides support to a family member, friend or neighbour who could not manage without their help due to illness, disability, frailty, mental health difficulties or addiction.

Caring can be rewarding, but it can also be challenging, and many carers do not recognise themselves as carers or know what support is available to them.

If you are looking after someone and would like advice, information or support, please speak to a member of our team. There are a range of local services available to help carers look after their own health and wellbeing while continuing to support others.

πŸ‘ Thank you to all carers for the compassion, dedication and support you provide every day.
