✨ MAKE A WISH AT TALLINGTON LODGE — MAKING MEMORIES THAT LAST A LIFETIME ✨
Some wishes may seem simple, but to the person making them, they can mean the absolute world. ❤️
As part of our Make a Wish initiative at Tallington Lodge, we had the privilege of making a very special wish come true for Audrey — and, unexpectedly, creating a wonderful experience for Cathy too.
Audrey has visited Walsingham many times throughout her life. Whenever Father Aran comes to visit us at Tallington Lodge, she talks fondly about Walsingham and how much she would love to see it again. We knew just how much this meant to her, so we decided it was time to make that wish happen. 🥰
Cathy had never been to Walsingham before and when we discussed the trip Cathy said it would mean the world to her to be able to join us! It’s been a wish for Cathy to visit Walsingham from a young age!
Father Aran very kindly came along and led the whole trip, sharing his knowledge of Walsingham, its fascinating history and the surrounding area. Having him with us made the day even more special, bringing the places we visited to life with stories and information we simply wouldn’t have known otherwise.
We attended Mass together before taking time to explore the beautiful shrine and soak up the atmosphere of this very special place. We then enjoyed a truly lovely lunch, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. ❤️
Father Aran also gave us all some holy water to take home, along with some special souvenirs. Cathy was delighted to receive a blessed crucifix, while Audrey was given a beautiful necklace to wear close to her heart — a precious reminder of her special day at Walsingham and somewhere she can carry that memory with her always. 💕
We also had the opportunity to see Barsham Manor, connecting our day with the fascinating history of King Henry VIII and his pilgrimage to Walsingham.
A huge and heartfelt thank you to Father Aran for joining us, guiding us, sharing his knowledge and making the whole day so incredibly meaningful. Your presence truly made the experience extra special. 🙏❤️
And to Audrey and Cathy — thank you for allowing us to share such a beautiful day with you. Seeing your faces, hearing your stories and watching you enjoy every moment reminded us exactly why our Make a Wish initiative is so important.
Because sometimes, making a wish come true isn’t about something grand or extravagant.
Sometimes, it’s simply about helping someone return to a place they love, creating a memory they can treasure, and giving them a day they will never forget. ✨
