When looking for a new supervisor, really think about your needs, what works for you and the way that you work.

Just as your clients need to connect with you for there to be an effective, supportive relationship. You too, will need to connect with your supervisor.

Having an awareness of what you need and want from supervision is important.

Do you find it hard to accept compliments ❔❔❔

Being able to hear praise and compliments from other people, can be uncomfortable or hard to accept.

If you are reading this and you can relate, try this tip.

Find a jar, preferably one that you can see into, write each day a compliment about yourself, something that you like about you and put it into the jar.

At the end of the month open the jar and read them out loud to yourself. If we can practice being kind to ourselves we may be able to accept kindness from others.
