East & North Hertfordshire Hospitals' Charity Supporting East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust’s four hospitals

We work hard with our clinical colleagues at Hertford County Hospital, Lister Hospital, Mount Vernon Cancer Centre and New QEII Hospital to fund projects that benefit patients, families and staff above and beyond what the NHS can provide. With the generous support of the public, we can continue to transform the hospitals that care for you and your loved ones.

💙 Entries are still open for Moor Park 10 & More this Sunday!

If you’ve been thinking about taking part, there’s still time to sign up and join us on Sunday 20 September.

The forecast is currently looking pretty good for running too, so it could be the perfect excuse to get your trainers on and take part. 👟

Whether you run, jog or take it at your own pace, you’ll be helping to support patients, families and staff across our hospitals.

Not running? We’re also still looking for a few more volunteers to help us on the day. 💙

🚴 Today’s the day! Our 12-hour Spinathon is underway at Lister Hospital! 💙

From 7.45am to 7.45pm today, teams of two cyclists will be taking to the bikes for an hour at a time before handing over to the next pair, all to raise funds for our Children’s Big Build Appeal.

The challenge is being led by Joanne Biggs, Acute Paediatrics and Neonatal Service Coordinator, with lots of our brilliant paediatric staff getting involved throughout the day.

A huge thank you to Rise Gym Stevenage, who have loaned us the bikes and are joining us for the challenge too. 💙

We’ll also be welcoming some special guests during the day, including a comedian 👀 and members of our local fire service.

📍 Come and see us in action!
We’re set up at Lister Hospital, in Charity Corner near WHSmith, so pop by, cheer everyone on and say hello. 💙

We’re raising money towards our £2 million Children’s Big Build Appeal, helping to create a brand-new, state-of-the-art Children’s Unit at Lister Hospital.

Can’t make it along? You can still support the team by sponsoring them online:

Every donation will help us get closer to making the new Children’s Unit a reality.

A huge good luck to Scott Wilson, who is setting off this weekend to take on the incredible challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. 🏔️

Scott, who is also a paramedic here at the Trust, will begin his eight-day trek on Monday and is hoping to reach the summit on 21 September.

He is taking on the challenge to raise funds for a very special project at Lister Hospital, helping to create a new quiet room within the Emergency Department’s resus area.

The room will provide a calm, peaceful space for end-of-life patients and their families, away from the noise and activity of the wider Emergency Department.

As a paramedic, Scott sees first-hand just how much a space like this could mean to patients and their loved ones.

He has already raised an amazing £1,800, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything he is doing to support this important project. 💙

Scott, we’ll all be cheering you on every step of the way!

A huge thank you to everyone who has already signed up to volunteer at this year’s Moor Park 10 & More, and to our fantastic sponsors Pinner Dental Care, Telic Accountants & Tax Advisers and Thames Materials for helping make the event possible.

From the people giving up their time on the day to the businesses supporting the event, we’re incredibly grateful to everyone getting behind this year’s Moor Park 10 & More. 💙

And there’s still time to get involved!

We’re looking for more volunteers to join us on Sunday 20 September, helping with roles including route marshalling, car parking, photography and our fundraising stalls.

Whether you’ve volunteered with us before or this would be your first time, we’d love to have you there.

“It was the most beautiful thing I’ve experienced for a very long time.” 💙

A lovely piece of feedback from a patient who experienced harp therapy with Julia at Lister Hospital.

Julia visits patients living with dementia as part of the Forget-Me-Not Dementia Service, using therapeutic harp music to bring moments of calm, comfort and connection during their time in hospital.

It’s a beautiful reminder of the difference these additional services can make to a patient’s experience.

What does it actually mean to ‘Buy a Brick’? 🧱💙

For as little as £36, you can buy your own brick on our virtual wall, add a personal message and, most importantly, help support our Children’s Big Build at Lister Hospital.

Your brick could be dedicated to someone special, carry a message from your family, or show your support as a local business or community group.

Every brick bought helps us move closer to creating an exceptional new Children’s Unit for local children and their families.

🧱 What would you put on your brick?

Buy yours here:
