Our therapy aims are to help manage a child’s behaviour and help them develop to their full potential in the areas of communication, emotional health and social interaction. Providing therapy sessions to aid in developing a child’s social and communication skills and to assist in managing challenging behaviour. Setting individual plans, implementing strategies and measuring progress. Supporting childcare settings and schools with managing behaviour. Last chance to apply for our 'Understanding My ADHD/Autism' empowerment courses for children - closing date for applications is 12th July!

Our popular courses are back for the Autumn term. In September we are running an 'Understanding My ADHD' course and an 'Understanding My Autism' course, both for years 5 and 6. We will also be running further courses after October half-term, so do keep a watch out for those.

A diagnosis is not required, although your child should be on the pathway and aware that they are likely ADHD/Autistic.

Thinking about counselling at The Butterfly Room.
Counsellors tailor their approach to the child's age and developmental stage, often using creative methods to connect, especially when children cannot articulate their feelings. Sessions often last around 50 minutes and allow children to lead in exploring their experiences.
Working with a counsellor gives children and young people a safe space to talk. In therapy, they can open up and talk about anything they might be struggling with. With the help of an experienced child counsellor, children can work through their worries and concerns.
