Partners in Support work with people with learning disabilities and autism in Hertfordshire.

We support individuals to lead the lives that they choose and assist people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and their chosen communities.

With 500 years of maritime history, the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard was a perfect place for Gary to visit, alongside his support worker Sophie. The weather was good and Gary go to see and experience just what life was like aboard these amazing ships. A fantastic day out.

Following a walk around St. Albans with Mum and Support Worker Neil, Alex visited the Old Courts and cells where he got to sit in the judges chair and pass sentence! He then visited an art gallery before finishing off with a Thai lunch and then walking home to get a bit more exercise.
What a great day out, making memories and enjoying new and educational experiences.

What's not to enjoy about taking a stroll in Ashridge Estate, soaking up the warm sun and enjoying nature. Jackie and her Lead Support Worker Kerry took their time and enjoyed a peaceful walk.

Sarah thought she was going to the theatre to see the Legends of the 60's Show with her support worker Georgia. So imagine her delight when she met up with friends Chris and Jackie who were also there to enjoy the show. And what a great show it was!

Swimming is hungry work, so after enjoying a few laps with Support Worker Neil, Richard helped batch cook some delicious food. He is now sorted for a few days and can enjoy other activities knowing there is some healthy, hot food ready when he returns!

Daniel, supported by Tracy, has been trying out new experiences and joining new groups. Just lately he has joined Electric Umbrella and has been enjoying the music and the entertainment. He gave a great rendition of Hotel California and showed off his dance moves! Well done Daniel, great to see you joining in new groups meeting new people.

Sometimes, the things that might seem small to others are actually huge moments of connection, belonging and independence.

Jackie has been joining the ‘Knit and Natter’ group at Burston Garden Centre, doing something she absolutely loves while also getting out into the community, meeting new people and making new friends. Jackie particularly loves chatting with her friend Sonia!

For us, this is so much more than joining a knitting group. It’s about being included, being seen, having a voice, building friendships and feeling like you belong.
