🇮🇪✈️ From the team to the wards! 🩺😂

A huge congratulations to our newly qualified nurses, who are swapping life with us for life back home in Ireland — ready to start their brand-new careers! 💚

We’re not sure Ireland is quite prepared for them… but apparently they’ve passed all the necessary checks. 😅

We’ll miss the laughs, the craic and having you around — but we couldn’t be prouder of you all. Go smash the next chapter, look after your patients, and remember: “I work with a bunch of eejits” is not an official medical diagnosis. 😂

The Roselea Shed

Welcome to our Shed — a small shed with BIG ambitions!

We want to turn this little space into a treasure trove of treats, surprises and things you never knew you needed until you spotted them on a shelf!

Imagine popping in and finding homemade goodies, books, toys, plants, crafts, mystery bags, little gifts and pre-loved treasures — with new things appearing all the time.

But here’s where we need YOU!

What would you love to find in our Shed? We’re looking for fun, quirky and brilliant ideas for what we could put inside. Cakes? Sweet treats? Plants? Books? Toys? Handmade goodies? Lucky dips? Something completely different?

No idea is too weird or wonderful — send us your suggestions! 💡

How about a Lucky Dip Corner, a Bargain Shelf, seasonal surprises and perhaps even the occasional “What on earth is that…? I’ll have it!” item.

The idea will be simple: take something you love, leave a donation, and help us fill the fundraising pot.

Everything in the shed will help us raise money, to give our VIP’s extra treats, so every little purchase or donation can make a BIG difference.

Come for a browse. 👁️

🎺🌿 A Very Special Day — Our Bandstand Is Officially Open! 🌿🎺

What a wonderful afternoon we had today as we officially opened our beautiful new bandstand! 🥰

Our lovely Pete Kelly did us the great honour of opening it in memory of his much-loved mum, who was once a resident of our home. ❤️ She had a real love of music, so we couldn’t think of a more fitting tribute to her. We hope our bandstand will be filled with music, laughter and happy memories for many years to come. 🎶💕

A huge THANK YOU must go to absolutely everyone who helped make this possible — whether you donated, helped out, supported us or simply cheered us on. It really has been a team effort, and we are incredibly grateful. 👏🏻🫶

Of course, being Scotland, the weather decided it wanted an invitation too… 🌦️😂 But even a little rain wasn’t going to stop us! We’re firm believers that the garden is there to be enjoyed whatever the weather — sunshine is lovely, but a brolly works just as well! ☔️🌞

We were delighted to welcome the wonderful Unite Scotland Kinneil Brass Band, who played us through the afternoon. 🎺🎶 Their music was very much enjoyed by everyone and brought our new bandstand to life in the best possible way. A massive thank you to the band for giving us your time and support — you were fantastic! 🥰🥰👏🏻👏🏻

And naturally, no VIP occasion would be complete without a little bit of luxury! ✨ Our VIPs and their families retired to the Champagne Lounge, where they enjoyed mocktails, tea, coffee and plenty of delicious cakes. 🍰☕️🍹 Very sophisticated indeed… although we suspect the cakes may have been the real VIPs of the afternoon! 😂

Music, memories, family, friends, cake, a wee drop of rain and a whole lot of smiles — what more could we ask for?

A truly special afternoon and the perfect beginning for our lovely new bandstand. ❤️🎺🌿

Our VIPs enjoyed the most wonderful afternoon sailing peacefully along the canal with our lovely friends from The Seagull Trust. 🛥️💙

With the sun shining brightly overhead, we cruised along the water, taking in the beautiful scenery and enjoying each other’s company. There were plenty of smiles and laughter, and stories were shared as we sailed along. ☀️🌿

It was one of those special afternoons filled with friendship, happy memories and simple moments of joy. A wonderful time was had by all, and we’re very grateful to our friends at The Seagull Trust for making the day so memorable.

Sunshine warmed the air as the scent of sizzling burgers and smoky BBQ filled the garden, setting the scene for an unforgettable Funtime BBQ with our VIPs.

With music playing, laughter flowing, and plates piled high with delicious food, the afternoon buzzed with energy, great company, and a truly celebratory atmosphere.

Our VIPs enjoyed a wonderful morning at Sauchenford Farm for “Tea with a Pony” with Equi-Power Central Scotland Riding for the Disabled. 🐴

Having grown up around farms and ponies, the visit brought back many treasured memories of their own faithful companions. It was a touching morning filled with stories, smiles and reminiscence.

What a Wonderful Month We’ve Had!

What a fantastic month it has been so far!
Our home has been full of smiles, laughter, and wonderful memories as everyone has enjoyed a variety of fun-filled activities together.

We’ve had some lovely trips out, giving everyone the chance to enjoy a change of scenery, explore local places, and spend quality time with friends.
These outings have brought plenty of happy moments and lots to chat about afterwards.

Back at the home, the music has been playing and spirits have been high.
We’ve enjoyed singing along to favourite songs, dancing together, and sharing plenty of laughter.
It’s been wonderful to see everyone joining in, whether clapping along, tapping their feet, or taking to the dance floor with big smiles.

The joy and enthusiasm shown by our VIP’s has been truly heartwarming.
From lively sing-alongs to fun activities and outings, there’s been something for everyone to enjoy.
The friendships, laughter, and shared experiences have made this month extra special, creating memories that we’ll all treasure.

We can’t wait to see what the rest of the month has in store, but if the first few weeks are anything to go by, there will be plenty more smiles, music, dancing, and happy times ahead!🌞🌞🥂🥂🎉🎉🥰🥰
