Your body deserves the same level of care you give everything else. šŸ’™

We use our bodies every single day.

We ask them to work, move, lift, stretch, sit, stand, drive, exercise, carry, perform and keep going — often without giving them the care and attention they need in return.

Think about it this way…

If you bought a brand-new Audi, would you drive it year after year without servicing it?

Of course not.

You’d maintain it.
You’d check it.
You’d look after it before problems became bigger problems.

So why do we treat our bodies differently?

Body therapy isn’t simply something to book when you’re already in pain or something feels wrong.

Regular bodywork can be part of looking after yourself proactively — helping you stay connected to your body, support your movement, release built-up tension and give your body the attention it deserves.

You only get one body.

So don’t wait until it’s shouting at you to start listening.

Make looking after your body part of your regular self-care, not an afterthought.

When was your last body therapy session?

Maybe it’s time to book your next one.

On Friday, I had the pleasure of welcoming a new client to KA Therapies, who travelled all the way from Dumbarton after being recommended by ( Thank you šŸ«¶šŸ¼ )

She booked in for KCR to address ongoing sciatic-type pain that she has been suffering with for years.

She has previously tried various therapists and different treatments, but unfortunately never experienced the relief she was looking for.

After her first KCR session, she shared this feedback šŸ’™

This is exactly why I believe it’s so important to look at the whole body, rather than simply treating where someone feels pain.

But what actually is ā€œsciaticaā€?

Sciatica isn’t one single condition — it’s a broad term used to describe pain or symptoms associated with the sciatic nerve. Everyone can experience it differently. For some, it may be pain, while others can experience tingling, numbness, burning or weakness.

And something many people don’t realise is that not all pain felt down the leg is necessarily sciatica.

People can sometimes assume they have sciatica when the underlying cause may be something completely different. That’s why understanding the individual and looking at their symptoms as a whole is so important.

KCR works with the body as a whole, aiming to support balance, alignment and natural movement rather than simply focusing on the painful area.

For some clients, this can help reduce tension and improve how the body is moving and functioning — which may help ease symptoms associated with sciatic-type pain.

šŸ”· Every body is different. Every person’s experience is different. And every treatment journey is individual.

If you’ve been told you have sciatica, or you’ve been experiencing pain travelling into your leg and haven’t found relief, it may be worth having your symptoms properly assessed rather than simply assuming it’s ā€œjust sciatica.ā€

One gentle Release at the base of the skull begins encouraging your body to release built-up tension, restore balance, and move more freely.

No force. No cracking. Just a gentle approach that leaves you feeling lighter, looser, and more aligned.

Today, I’m proud to announce that Kirsty Anderson | KCR Therapist & Certified Trainer is sponsoring undefeated professional boxer Stuart Richardson

Stuart is currently 7-0 as a professional and is the Scottish & Commonwealth Youth Welterweight Champion. He lives locally in Stirling, trains out of 1314 Boxing Club, and is currently deep into training camp as he prepares to defend his Scottish Welterweight Title on 10th December.

As part of this sponsorship, Stuart will receive a range of treatments and recovery services to help keep his body performing at its very best throughout training and competition.

It’s a privilege to work with dedicated athletes who genuinely give everything to their sport. Stuart’s work ethic, discipline, and commitment are exactly why I’m excited to be part of his team.

Boxing is incredibly demanding on the body. Every session puts stress on the muscles and joints, and recovery is just as important as the training itself. My role isn’t just to treat injuries if they happen, it’s to help prevent them before they occur, reduce muscle tightness, improve mobility, speed up recovery between sessions, and keep Stuart’s body functioning at its best.

When your body is moving well and recovering properly, you can train harder, stay consistent, and give yourself the best opportunity to perform on fight night. Regular treatment helps support that process throughout training camp.

I’m looking forward to supporting Stuart throughout training camp and beyond, helping him stay healthy, strong, and ready for the demands of training and competition. I can’t wait to see what the future holds, and I’m incredibly grateful to be trusted as part of his corner.

Wishing Stuart the very best as he continues his preparations for 10th December as he defends his Scottish title. 🄊
Here’s to hard work, dedication, and achieving great things together.

Today’s feedback from my friend Neil šŸ™ŒšŸ½

When Neil first came to see me, he was struggling with severe headaches, poor sleep, a sore, tight neck, and generally wasn’t feeling like himself.

I started with KCR (Kinetic Chain Release) to help his body reset and move more freely. He noticed such a positive difference after his first session that he wanted to continue with regular treatments.

At his second appointment, I carried out wet cupping as he was still experiencing headaches and persistent tightness in his neck. I felt this was the most appropriate treatment to help reduce muscle tension, improve circulation, and support his recovery.

At his most recent appointment last Friday, I combined deep tissue massage with dry cupping to release any remaining tension, improve mobility, and continue supporting his recovery.

Today I received this message from him… šŸ™ŒšŸ½

This is exactly why I love what I do. It’s not just about easing aches and pains—it’s about helping people sleep better, move more freely, feel more comfortable at work, and get back to enjoying life.

Neil has now booked in every couple of weeks for maintenance treatments because he’s experienced first-hand the difference regular bodywork can make. With his demanding job as a golf course manager, keeping on top of his body helps him perform at his best.

If you’re struggling with headaches, tight muscles, poor sleep, or you just don’t feel your body is functioning as well as it should, I’d love to help.

This memory popped up today, and it reminded me exactly why I do what I do.

My purpose has always been to serve people—to help them reconnect with their bodies, feel stronger, healthier, and more like themselves.

The body is an incredible vessel. It carries us through every chapter of life, and it deserves to be honoured, respected, and looked after.

Moments like these remind me that it’s never just about the treatment—it’s about the impact, the trust, and being part of someone’s journey.

Forever grateful to do what I love. šŸ’™

After more than 15 years of treating clients, I know incredible results are possible. I see them every day—and the common denominator is consistency, not just treatment.

Your treatment is the catalyst. Your daily choices are what create lasting change.

Accountability isn’t about blame—it’s about giving yourself the best chance of achieving the results you want.

I’m here to guide you, support you, and help your body function at its best, but we’re a team. The best outcomes happen when we both do our part.

The clients who experience the best long-term results are those who see body therapy as part of their lifestyle, not a one-off fix. Regular treatment, combined with the right habits between sessions help your body perform at its best. That’s why I consistently receive such positive feedback - my clients commit to the process, not just the appointment.

Head down. Heart open. šŸ’™

One thing I’ve learned is that not every journey needs to be loud.

I choose to stay focused in my own lane, work from my heart, and use the gifts God has given me to serve others.

My purpose isn’t to compete with anyone else. It’s to support my clients and create a space where they’re cared for every step of the way.

Serving my clients with care, working with integrity, and growing my business one person at a time, that’s my focus.

I choose to stay focused on what really matters - my clients, my business, and constantly improving what I offer.

I truly believe there’s enough room for all of us to succeed when we stay true to our purpose.

Grateful I get to do what I love every single day, and I pray that I continue to grow with humility, kindness and purpose.

šŸ”· New Client Success Story šŸ”·

has been following my page for years but had never booked in because he’d been seeing a chiropractor every month.

Recently, he met one of my clients and mentioned he was thinking about coming to see me.

His response?

ā€œI can’t recommend her enough. You have to go.ā€

That recommendation gave him the push he needed to finally book in.

When he got in touch, he told me he was feeling really stiff through his legs and thought it was down to work. He asked if I could help, and my answer was simple, yes.

During his consultation, we talked through everything that had been going on. I explained exactly how I would approach his treatment and why. He also mentioned he’d been experiencing back spasms that were even waking him up during the night.

A couple of times during the treatment, the spasms started to make themselves known again.

As I worked through the treatment, something wasn’t adding up. What I was feeling suggested there was more to the story, so I asked him one simple question…

Have you had a fall?

Then it came back to him.

On the day he got the keys to his new house, his dog ran full force into the side of his leg, knocking him over.

Sometimes it’s not the obvious injuries that cause ongoing pain. It’s the incidents we dismiss because they don’t seem significant at the time.

This morning, I woke up to messages from Steven telling me how much better he was already feeling.

This is why I always take the time to listen, assess, and look beyond where the pain is presenting. The body tells a story—you just have to know how to read it.

Thank you for finally booking in and trusting me, Steven šŸ’šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø

If you’re living with aches, stiffness, or recurring pain and can’t work out why, let’s find the root cause together.
