Stirling Optical is an independent family practice, specialising in ophthalmic healthcare. We have the very latest optical technology, including digital retinal imaging, which enables us to detect all common eye conditions, as well as more serious ones such as Glaucoma. Our wide range of frames offers something for everyone, whether you prefer traditional styles or designer brands. If you haven't

visited us before, you'll find our frames are competitively priced and often cheaper than the chains. Everyone should have an eye examination at least once every 2 years and this is now fully funded by the NHS. If we can be of assistance, we would be delighted to help and hope to see you soon.

Last month, Tony and Madeleine travelled to Los Angeles for a supplier event to learn more about the latest Nuance Audio Glasses.👓

Designed to help wearers hear more clearly in busy environments, Tony put the glasses to the test during the event and found they made it much easier to follow conversations around the busy tables.

We're always grateful for opportunities to learn about the latest innovations and bring that knowledge back to our patients.

And as the last photo shows, it's not all glamour, with Tony back to business as usual as soon as he returned to Stirling! 😉

Recently, Geraldine and Faith travelled to London for the Dolce & Gabbana Summer Launch, where they got a first look at their latest collection. ✨

One of our favourite ranges was the Devotion collection, which Faith had the chance to try on.

Of course, it wasn't long before Geraldine was back in the practice. As the last photo shows, life in a family-run business means it's all hands on deck!😂

Meet co-owner and founder Julie! 👋

With a degree in Optometry Julie became a qualified Optometrist in 2000 and started working at Stirling Optical in 2006.

When Julie is not keeping up with her four daughters, you'll find her pounding the pavement with a personal best of 3:45 for marathon running. Come summer, she swaps her running shoes for a paddle board and makes the most of the warmer weather. We don't know how she does it all, but we're glad she's on our team!

It is used after your eye test to take very precise measurements for your glasses.

It looks at how your frames sit, how your eyes line up behind the lenses and your natural posture, so everything can be set up properly for you.

Meet Kyle 👋

Kyle is the newest member of the Stirling Optical team and we’re delighted to have him with us. He has completed the Optical Assistant course through ABDO and is already settling into practice, helping us continue to provide the friendly, professional service our patients know and trust.

Outside of work, Kyle enjoys watching rugby, travelling and exploring the Ochil Hills with his dog Loki. He’s passionate about staying active and discovering new places.
