🌳 What's involved in a Forest Bathing and Nature Connection session?
A great question!
🌿 Many people see that a session is three hours long and worry they won't be mobile enough to cover much ground. The great thing about a Forest Bathing session is that we actually don't cover much ground at all.
Most of the time is spent in the nature activities, we call invitations, which are generally static. Some are down sitting or even lying down
🪶 It is about deep connection with the nature around you, and creating deeper connections to yourself .
🌺This is facilitated by a serious of 'invitations' which can be described as active meditations, many are guided by myself.
🌹 Don't let the word meditation put you off though, You are not expected to enter a transcendental state! These invitations encourage you to embrace your lesser used senses such as hearing, touch, as well as sight...and encouraging you to move out of your thinking mind and into a feeling mind, embracing imagination and some fun along the way.
🌳 The nature around you will do the rest.
A few quotes from people who have attended my training sessions so far;
SP; "I've never Forest Bathed before, although recently I have started following a 15 minute guided meditation session on YouTube, this was so so so much better than that"
Question; How did you feel at the start of the session?
Answer "Anxious, slightly stressed and anxious"
Question; How did you feel at the end of the session?
Answer; "Relaxed, tired, content"
Question; What was the highlight of the session and why?
Answer; "Having time, an epiphany about a small tree and my life. I felt very emotional and felt comfortable to be able to share with the group"
🍵 All Forest Bathing sessions finish with a tea ceremony. We sit in the space we have been sharing and drink tea made from something gathered off the land. Its a nod to the Japanese origins of Forest Bathing as tea ceremonies are an important part of their culture.
🍵 It is also a lovely way to close the session. A lighter time, to chat and share...slowly bringing ourselves back to the "normal world".
🌿 I have a couple of months left to go with my own study and coursework. Once qualified I plan to hit the ground running and get regular sessions planned.
✨️ There will be some special offers.✨️
