🍂 AUTUMNAL SLOW DOWN 🍂

Both of my September Relaxation Evenings are now completely SOLD OUT… 🥹🤎

So, as we settle into autumn, it felt like the perfect time to create something a little special for October.

Because sometimes we don’t realise just how much we’re carrying until we finally stop.

The busy mind.
The constant rushing.
The list of things that need doing.
The feeling that there’s always someone or something needing your attention.

And perhaps what you really need isn’t another thing to achieve…

…but two hours where you don’t have to achieve anything at all.

Just space to breathe.
Space to soften.
Space to properly rest.

🍂 Autumnal Slow Down is a cosy two hour candlelit evening designed to help you step away from the noise of everyday life and settle into a slower, softer rhythm.

We’ll move gently through:

🕯️ Restful Yin Yoga
🌬️ Soft, calming breathwork
✨ Guided meditation
🌿 A soothing aromatherapy experience during deep Savasana
🍂 Plus a little fruit tea to take home

You don’t need to be flexible.
You don’t need to be experienced.
And you certainly don’t need to arrive feeling calm.

Just come as you are.

Leave feeling a little lighter, a little quieter and hopefully reminded that rest isn’t something you have to earn.

Wednesday 7th October | 7:30–9:30pm
📍 Garden Studio, Heaton Chapel
👥 Maximum 8 spaces
🌟 £22 per person

A cosy autumn evening with a few extra touches to make this one feel especially nurturing.

If your body and mind have been asking you to slow down lately, simply message me AUTUMN & I’ll be in touch to secure your space 💌✨

I know we’re often taught to push ourselves.

Go a little deeper.
Hold it a little longer.
Don’t come out until everyone else does.

And somewhere along the way, yoga can start to feel like another thing we have to be good at.

But I don’t believe you need to push through your yoga practice to benefit from it.

There is a difference between challenge and overriding your body.

A pose can feel unfamiliar.
You might notice resistance.
You might experience a healthy level of intensity.

That’s part of exploring your body.

But pain, sharpness, strain or the feeling that you are forcing yourself somewhere your body isn’t ready to go?

That’s different.

And learning to recognise that difference is part of the practice.

Because how often do we do the same thing outside of yoga?

We’re tired, but carry on.

We’re overwhelmed, but add something else to the list.

We’re stressed, but tell ourselves we’ll rest later.

We’re uncomfortable, but push through because we feel like we should.

Then we come onto our yoga mat and do exactly the same thing.

For me, yoga is an opportunity to practice something different.

To notice rather than automatically push.

To listen rather than override.

To ask, “What do I actually need today?”

Sometimes that might mean staying with the pose.

Sometimes it might mean backing off.

Sometimes it might mean coming out altogether.

And none of those choices make your practice more or less worthy.

With me, I don’t want you worrying about whether you’re doing the “full” version of a pose or whether you’re flexible enough.

I’d much rather you learn to understand your own body.

Because listening to yourself isn’t giving up.

It’s part of the practice.

And perhaps that’s one of the most useful things yoga can teach us - that we don’t always have to push harder to move forward ✨

Both of my September Relaxation Evenings are now FULLY BOOKED 🙏🏻

Thank you so much to everyone who has booked. I’m so looking forward to welcoming you into the garden studio for two beautiful evenings of slowing down, breathing deeply and simply being. 🌿

And as we head into autumn, I’m very excited to share what’s coming next from the garden studio…

More warmth.
More stillness.
More space to pause, switch off and simply be. 🍂🕯️

And if you have something to celebrate this autumn, I still have some availability for private yoga experiences - whether it’s a birthday, hen party, girls’ getaway or a little pre wedding calm.

I come to you, creating a relaxed yoga experience for your group, wherever you’re staying ✨

We often talk about yoga in terms of what it can do for the body.

More flexibility.
Stronger muscles.
Better balance.
Less tension.

And yes, yoga can absolutely offer all of those things.

But after years of practicing and teaching, I think some of the most valuable parts of yoga are the things you can’t necessarily see.

The feeling of your whole system beginning to soften.

The first deep breath you’ve taken all day.

The five minutes where your phone isn’t in your hand.

The feeling of being completely present in your own body instead of thinking about everything you need to do next.

The quiet that comes when your mind has been running at a hundred miles an hour.

That’s yoga too.

And I think this is something we can easily miss when we focus so much on the physical side of the practice.

We measure progress by how deep we can get into a pose.

Whether we can touch our toes.

Whether our balance has improved.

Whether we can hold something for longer.

But what if progress looked like noticing when you need to slow down?

What if it looked like being kinder to yourself?

What if it looked like feeling more comfortable sitting with stillness?

What if you finished your practice feeling less busy inside?

Those things don’t make for particularly impressive Instagram photos…

But they matter.

Because your body comes with you when you leave the mat.

And so does your mind.

My own teaching is less about chasing the biggest stretch or the most complicated pose and much more about creating space to notice, breathe and reconnect.

The physical practice is important.

But it’s only part of the story ✨

And if this is the kind of yoga you’ve been craving, I have just one space remaining for my Candlelit Autumn Equinox Relaxation Evening on 23rd September. 🍂🕯️

You may have noticed a slightly different side of my yoga appearing here lately…

And actually, I think it’s worth explaining.

Because there are two very different sides to what I do & I have wondered whether they are too different to sit alongside each other.

On one side, I create yoga experiences for hen parties, birthdays and girls’ getaways.

There’s music, laughter, groups of friends, beautiful settings and lots of energy 🥂

And then there’s my garden studio experiences.

The candles are lit. The lights are low. We move slowly. We breathe. We get quiet.

Yin, breathwork, meditation, reiki and those moments where you finally have permission to stop doing and simply be 🌿

On the surface, they couldn’t feel more different.

But the more I teach, the more I realise they actually come from the same place.

I don’t believe yoga has to look one particular way.

Sometimes yoga is getting your girlfriends together and doing something completely different pre cocktails.

Sometimes it’s lying still in Savasana and realising just how exhausted you’ve actually been.

Sometimes you need movement.

Sometimes you need stillness.

Sometimes you need connection with other people.

And sometimes you desperately need an hour or so where nobody needs anything from you.

And I think that’s one of the things I love most about yoga.

It can meet you where you are.

As a teacher, I’m much less interested in whether you can touch your toes, hold the ‘perfect’ shape, pushing into the ‘full expression’ of a posture.

I’m interested in whether you leave feeling a little more connected to yourself than when you arrived.

A little lighter.

A little calmer.

A little more present.

So, yes, you’ll see both sides of my work here.

The celebrations 🥂
The slow evenings 🌙
The laughter.
The stillness.

Because although they look very different, the intention behind them is the same.

To create yoga experiences that make you feel good - whatever that needs to look like for you that day ✨

And I’m really excited to share more of both with you… 🙏🏻

Yoga is so much more than flexibility, sweating it out or achieving the perfect ‘yoga body’.

And honestly, I think we’ve lost a little of that along the way.

The physical postures, the asanas are only one part of yoga.

Yoga can be a practice of slowing down. Of connecting with the breath. Of becoming more aware of the body, the mind and everything happening beneath the surface.

It isn’t about forcing yourself further into a pose or comparing your practice to the person next to you.

It’s about noticing.

Breathing.

Creating space.

And perhaps, for a little while just stepping away from the noise of everyday life.

For me, yoga has never been about how far you can stretch or how complicated your practice looks.

It’s about how you feel when you leave the mat 🙏🏻

That’s the kind of yoga I create in this little garden studio.

Movement without pressure.
Space to breathe.
Time to slow down.
And a little reminder that you don’t have to push yourself harder all the time.

Presence over perfection.
Connection over comparison.
Feeling good over doing more.

This is the kind of yoga I believe in and the kind of practice I want to share with you ✨

A little unexpected…

It’s been such a busy few months that I only realised last night I’ve got a whole week available from 10th–16th August.

I’ve learned not to panic when there’s a little space in my diary. It usually means life is making room for something…and I’m intrigued to see what next week has in store 🙏🏻

So, if you’re planning a last minute girls’ getaway, heading away for a hen weekend, celebrating a birthday or even hosting a garden BBQ with friends, I travel to you to create relaxed, feel good yoga experiences wherever you are.

Autumn and winter bookings are also now open ✨
