If you're aged 55–74, are registered with a GP practice in Greater Manchester, and are a current or former smoker, you may be eligible for a free Lung Cancer Screening appointment.
Lung cancer screening can help detect problems early, often before symptoms develop, giving the best chance of successful treatment. Please attend your appointment, even if you feel well.
Everyone who meets the eligibility criteria is welcome to attend, regardless of their sexuality or gender. We know LGBTQ+ people are more likely to smoke and may be less likely to seek medical advice when unwell. The Lung Cancer Screening service is inclusive and non-judgemental, providing a safe space where you can speak openly with staff if you have any concerns or feel anxious.
