A few weeks ago, we held an exciting yoga session at the clinic for one of our clients, , with Debbie, our specialist yoga teacher. πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈβœ¨

Hollie, you were absolutely fabulous! We’re so proud of you for stepping outside your comfort zone and trying something new. πŸ’›

We’re thrilled to be able to offer specialist yoga at Tots2Teens Therapy as a wonderful adjunct to the therapy we provide.

Yoga can support regulation, relaxation and body awareness, while giving our clients the opportunity to connect with their body, movement and breath in a safe and supportive environment.

We can’t wait to see how this develops and the difference it can make for our clients. 🌿

At the end of July, Kelly was fortunate enough to visit the MAES Therapy Centre with one of her clients. πŸ’™

Kelly currently supports four clients through weekly MAES Therapy sessions and also travels down to the London clinic for intensive blocks.

It was, as always, incredibly inspiring to spend time in the clinic with JP, Carey and Joanna. Seeing the progress our clients make by the end of their intensive blocks is so rewarding and a wonderful reminder of why we do what we do.

It was also a fantastic learning opportunity for Kelly, with plenty to take away and bring back into her own practice.

And, of course, there was the beautiful garden to enjoy too - the perfect peaceful setting for such a special clinic. 🌿

Hi, I'm Louise πŸ‘‹

I've been a paediatric physiotherapist for 24 years, and I'm just as passionate about my role today as I was the day I decided to specialise in helping children.

Supporting children and their families to overcome challenges, work through plateaus, and achieve their full potential is what motivates me every single day. Every child is unique, and I love helping families find the right path forward, together. 🧑

My clinical expertise is in neurological physiotherapy, with specialist interests in neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) and paediatric bladder and bowel continence. I'm a firm believer that learning never stops, so I continually develop my knowledge and integrate new ideas and approaches into my practice to provide the very best care for the families I support.

Outside of work, you'll usually find me keeping active. I love going to the gym with my son, Niall, cycling, walking, and kayaking along the canals in Marple. I also spend plenty of weekends proudly cheering on my children from the sidelines as they play for their sports teams - whatever the weather!

More recently, I even took up touch rugby with my daughter, Eve. It's been a brilliant reminder that it's never too late to learn something new, challenge yourself, and have fun along the way.

I truly feel privileged to do a job I love and to support so many incredible children and families every day. πŸ’™

Hi, I'm Kelly! πŸ‘‹

I'm the Highly Specialised Physiotherapist at Tots2Teens Therapy.

Anyone who knows me knows just how passionate I am about what I do. There's a saying, "If you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life,"and that's exactly how I feel...🧑

I knew I wanted to become a physiotherapist when I was just 12 years old, and more than 20 years after qualifying, I still feel incredibly proud of the profession I've chosen and the privilege of supporting our children and their families every day.

I'm always looking for opportunities to learn, develop and grow - not only to provide the very best support for our clients, but also to mentor and inspire our wonderful team of physiotherapists. I love collaborative learning and having those deeper conversations that help us understand 'why' a child may be finding certain brain skills challenging, so we can tailor the right support for them. πŸ’™

My specialist area is neurological physiotherapy, with a particular passion for promoting brain skills to improve function. This approach allows me to look beyond developmental plateaus and help every child unlock their potential and continue growing with confidence.

When I'm not at work, you'll most likely find me making memories with my family and heading off on adventures with my two young children. I love paddle boarding, swimming, and, of course, enjoying a good cup of tea with a slice of gluten-free cake! β˜•πŸ°

I'm so grateful to do a job I truly love and to be part of every child's journey towards reaching their full potential. πŸ’™

One of our client’s goals was to experience skiing at The ChillFactor UK, and with the support of Disability Snowsport UK, we were able to help make it happen. β›·οΈβœ¨

What an incredible day it was! - well done! 🧑

We are so proud of how she continues to challenge herself, build her confidence, and achieve her goals every day!

Seeing moments like these reminds us why consistency, and personalised support for your child is so important. πŸ’™

Here’s what her mum had to say:
β€œBeing the mother of a child with a traumatic brain injury can be challenging, it’s really hard to find therapists that can take on this challenge.

We have been with Tots2Teens Therapy since 2021. We have been on a journey with many physios as my daughter struggles with relationships and attention.

…I can honestly say Kelly and the team have helped us massively with their consistency, kindness and understanding. My daughter really enjoys and looks forward to her sessions, including her hydrotherapy sessions with Louise. Louise is fantastic with my child!”

Tots2Teens Therapy are more like family than physios...” πŸ’™

Stories like this mean the world to us. Watching the children we support grow in confidence, achieve their goals, and create lasting memories is the reason we do what we do every single day.

✨ Watching children discover new movement possibilities is one of the most rewarding parts of our work. ✨

When we first met this little boy as a baby, he strongly preferred keeping his body extended and symmetrical, making it difficult for him to explore different movement patterns.

Through careful observation, clinical analysis, collaboration with a fantastic MDT, and a treatment approach focused on understanding which skills his brain needed to develop, we created opportunities for him to learn. As a result, he now demonstrates greater movement variability, coordination, and adaptability. 🌟

Today, he shows improved trunk variability, better head control, an increased ability to move out of his preferred positions, and greater engagement with the people around him. 😊

Progress isn't always about reaching milestones quickly - it's about creating the conditions for a child to explore, learn, and develop new possibilities. When variability increases - whether in movement, communication, or understanding - children have more options available to them. These options create a stronger foundation for future development. 🌱

We're incredibly proud of his progress and look forward to seeing what he achieves next. πŸ’™

Growing potential, together.
