With temperatures expected to rise above 30°C, please take extra care in the heat 💛

Hot weather can be particularly difficult for older people, those living alone and anyone with underlying health conditions.

A few simple checks can make a big difference:

☀️ Keep curtains closed in rooms that face the sun
💧 Encourage regular drinks throughout the day
🌿 Stay in the shade and avoid going out during the hottest part of the day
👒 Wear light clothing, sunscreen and a hat if going outside
📞 Check in on older neighbours, relatives and loved ones
🏠 Keep an eye on room temperatures, especially where someone sleeps or rests
