People who wear Starkey hearing technology don't let their hearing loss get in the way of doing amazing things!
This summer, Starkey wearer and university student Ella Keyte will take on the incredible challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise vital funds for Meningitis Research Foundation. 🏔️
As she prepares for the journey, we’re proud to be supporting Ella with new Omega AI hearing technology. With DNN 360, she'll be able to hear everything around her. We've also given her all the accessories she needs for the climb, to help her feel confident and prepared.
Kilimanjaro also has a very special family connection for Ella.
In July 2004, just before her 60th birthday, Ella’s Grandmother climbed Kilimanjaro with her friend Anne and a group of guides.
Ella has always looked up to her gran, who spent a large part of her life visiting India, helping local communities build schools.
Her advice to Ella was simple: “Listen to your guides, drink lots of water and look forward to reaching the roof of Africa, as it is an amazing achievement.”
More than 20 years later, Ella is preparing to follow in her gran’s footsteps, this time in support of a hugely important cause.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing more about Ella’s training and how Omega AI has been part of her journey to succeed in climbing the highest mountain in Africa. We would all be delighted if you could support her and contribute using the link below:
