Reduce your risk of dementia

There are several lifestyle changes that can help reduce your risk of developing dementia. Regular physical activity, a healthy, balanced diet, and activities that challenge your brain can all help maintain brain health and lower your risk.

Hearing loss is associated with an increased risk of developing dementia and may also be an early sign of the condition. Addressing hearing loss as early as possible is the most effective approach. Research has shown that using hearing aids can reduce the risk of dementia to a level comparable to that of people with normal hearing.

There are things you can do to reduce your own risk of developing dementia. These include keeping active, eating healthily and exercising your mind.
