💙 A few seconds could help support Making Space services!

We need your help! Making Space is one of just three charities in the Discount Promo Codes charity poll this September – and your vote could help us win additional funds to support the people who draw on our services.

The charity with the most votes will receive 20% of Discount Promo Codes’ profits for the month – so every vote really does count!

💜 Volunteers' Week 💜

This Volunteers' Week, we want to say a huge thank you to every single person who gives their time, energy, skills and kindness to Stockport Connect Hub.

Our volunteers support so many different parts of what we do from helping in Café Connect, to supporting our football sessions, singing group, craft activities and much more. Some are members of our community who volunteer as part of their own recovery journey, while others simply want to make a difference by giving their time to support others.

People come to volunteering for all sorts of reasons, and everyone brings something unique. Whatever your reason for joining us, we hope you know just how valued you are.

The kindness, encouragement and sense of community that our volunteers create cannot be measured. Whether you're serving a brew, helping someone feel welcome, sharing a skill, or simply offering a friendly smile, you are making a real difference to people's lives.

This week, and every week, we want to say thank you. We are incredibly proud of all of our volunteers and grateful to have you as part of the Connect Hub family. 💜

📢❗3 important notices for today at Stockport Connect Hub! 🚨

- Due to the high temperatures today, Cafe Connect will be offering cold food only to help keep our kitchen team safe in the heat. (The usual hot and cold drinks will also be available.)

- Unfortunately The Potting Shed will not be running today due to staff availability.

- And finally, just a reminder that as discussed at our last Our Space meeting, Our Space will now take place every other month. So although it is currently showing on our May timetable, there will not be a meeting this afternoon. The next Our Space meeting will take place on Tuesday 30th June.

🚨 Just a quick update from Stockport Connect Hub

The Hub will be closed on Thursday 7th May and Friday 8th May, as the whole team will be away completing training.

We’re always keen to keep learning and developing, and these training days help us build our skills so we can continue offering the best possible support to the people who use our service.

We’ll be back open as normal afterwards and look forward to seeing you all soon.

We had our first Potting Shed session today and it was a lovely, relaxed start 🌱
If you’d like to join us, you’re very welcome next Tuesday, 11:30am–1pm at the garden at Stockport Connect Hub.
A gentle outdoor space to slow down, have a chat, and connect with others. There’s always the option to do a bit of planting too, or just enjoy a brew together.
