We often think birth trauma is something that happens in the delivery room.
But what if it follows you home?
Over the years, I've worked with women who believed they should have "moved on" after a difficult birth.
Instead, they found themselves avoiding mirrors, feeling disconnected from their bodies, struggling with intimacy, or feeling overwhelmed by the thought of another pregnancy.
They couldn't understand why they didn't feel like themselves anymore.
The truth is, trauma doesn't always stay in the past.
Our nervous system is designed to protect us, and sometimes it continues to do its job long after the danger has passed.
I know this, not just through my work, but through my own journey. Healing taught me that sometimes we don't need another answer, we need a safe space to process what our body is still holding.
Today, I combine EFT, talking therapy, aromatherapy, guided visualisation and intuitive healing to help women gently reconnect with themselves.
If you've had a difficult birth, experienced pregnancy loss, or you're carrying fears that you can't quite explain, I want you to know this:
You are not broken.
Your body is not your enemy.
Healing is possible.
I've written a new blog about how birth trauma can quietly affect everyday life, and why healing is about so much more than what happened in the delivery room.
I'd love for you to read it, and if it resonates with you, please share it. You never know who might need to hear that they're not alone.
