🫁 Lung cancer screening is helping to detect cancer earlier.

Queens Park Medical Centre is proud to be part of the lung cancer screening programme, which offers eligible patients a lung health check and, where appropriate, a CT scan.

The practice has achieved a 72.4% uptake—placing it within the top third in Tees Valley.

Finding lung cancer at an earlier stage can provide more treatment options and improve outcomes.

If you receive an invitation for lung cancer screening, please take up the offer—even if you feel fit and well.

We wanted to share a snapshot of our practice activity for Quarter 1.

Behind every appointment, prescription request, phone call, online consultation and referral is a member of our team working hard to support our patients and keep services running as smoothly as possible.

We know that demand on general practice remains high, and we appreciate patients’ patience and understanding as our team continues to provide care to our practice population.

Thank you also to our patients who attend their appointments, cancel in good time when they no longer need them, and use the NHS App or online services where appropriate — this really helps us manage demand and make best use of available appointments.
