🎓 Starting university or residential college this autumn? Protect yourself against MenB 💉

Meningococcal B (MenB) is a rare but serious bacterial infection that can cause meningitis and sepsis. Students living in shared accommodation are at increased risk, so the NHS is offering a free MenB vaccine to eligible young people.

You may be eligible if you:
✅ Were born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008, or
✅ Are starting university for the first time in Autumn 2026, were born on or after 21 July 2001, and are under 25, or
✅ Are starting further education for the first time in Autumn 2026, were born on or after 21 July 2001, will be living in eligible residential accommodation, and are under 25.

Don’t leave it until Freshers’ Week – get protected before you start your new chapter.

MenB can cause serious illnesses like meningitis and septicaemia - getting protected matters 🛡️

You may be eligible if:
✅ You’re 17–18 and born between 1 Sept 2007 – 31 Aug 2008
✅ You’re under 25 and starting university or moving into residential further education for the first time 🎓

How to get it:
📌 Eligible 17–18‑year‑olds can book online if registered with a GP in England
📌 Eligible under‑25s can get vaccinated at a participating pharmacy — no GP registration needed 🏥
