MenB vaccination reminder for eligible young people
Young people starting university are at increased risk of meningococcal B disease due to prolonged close contact in shared accommodation and social settings. The MenB vaccine helps protect against meningococcal group B bacteria, which can cause life-threatening meningitis and sepsis.

The free NHS MenB vaccination is available to:
• Young people born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008.
• Those born on or after 21 July 2001 who are starting university or eligible residential further education for the first time this autumn.

We are looking for a friendly and organised Receptionist to join our busy GP practice team.

🕘 28 hours per week
Working hours:
• Monday: Hanley Health Centre — 8:30am–6:30pm
• Tuesday: Foden Street Surgery — 8:00am–6:00pm
• Friday: Foden Street Surgery — 8:00am–6:00pm

The role involves answering calls, booking appointments, welcoming patients and supporting the practice team.
Good communication, IT and customer service skills are essential. Previous NHS/GP practice experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.

Your GP, nurse or pharmacist will not generally give you a prescription for over-the-counter medicines for a range of minor health concerns.
Instead, OTC medicines are available to buy in a pharmacy or supermarket in the local community. Please see below 👇

Stoke-on-Trent Community Diagnostic Centre

UHNM has officially welcomed its first patients to the new Stoke-on-Trent Community Diagnositc Centre improving local access to vital diagnostic tests and scans 🩻

Providing patients with quicker, more convenient access to a wide range of diagnostics services closer to home, helping to reduce waiting times and ease pressure on local hospitals.

Located on the old Sainsburys site, Etruria Way, Hanley ST1 5NQ

Services available include:

📌 CT Scans
📌 MRI
📌 X-Rays
📌 Ultrasounds
📌 Blood tests
📌 Physiological sciences such as Cardiology, Respiratory and sleep testing.

The centre is open seven days a week, 12 hours a day, and will provide up to 180,000 tests and scans a year!
