Did you know that parkrun is a free, friendly weekly 5k event open to everyone — whether you walk, jog, run, volunteer or cheer from the sidelines? 💙

Why not join the local community at Hanley Parkrun tomorrow morning? It’s a great way to boost physical and mental wellbeing, meet new people, and get moving at your own pace.

It's the end of the month already which means only one thing - it's our monthly Pacing week at Hanley parkrun as well as hosting the post-parkrun cafe at Park Church 🤩

Come along and have a run with our fantastic team of pacers and help to grab yourself a PB - then head down to the Cafe after for brew, bite to eat and a good chin wag afterwards.

🚨 Important Patient Update: Meningitis🚨

We are receiving a high volume of enquiries in relation to the Meningitis outbreak. If you are well and your vaccinations are up to date, you don't need to take any action.

Meningitis is an infection that can affect anyone, but early recognition and treatment are crucial. Please seek urgent medical advice if you or your child experience symptoms such as:
• High fever
• Severe headache
• Stiff neck
• Sensitivity to light
• Vomiting
• Unusual drowsiness or difficulty waking
• A rash that does not fade when pressed

For babies and young children, symptoms may also include:
• Floppy or unresponsive behaviour
• High-pitched crying
• Refusing feeds

Please check that you and your children are up to date with vaccinations.
