In light of the sentencing yesterday, we at W.R Bettelley just haven't got the words about this sickening individual 💔.

The following words are shared from a fellow Independent Funeral Directors.

"The news about that "company" in Hull makes our blood boil. We can't even use the words "Funeral Director" in connection with that disgraceful individual.

We care for loved ones with dignity and respect after sudden and tragic loss.

We try to help families find peace after difficult times dealing with long illness.

We try to guide decisions when grief feels overwhelming.

We speak on our families behalf when they can't find the words.

We work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Our own families wait, so yours is never alone in moments of sadness.

Every single service we create is done so with care and attention to detail.

Every single person who comes into our care is treated with as much dignity and respect.

We do all this not out of obligation, but out of deep respect for those who entrust us with care of their loved one.

This is not simply a job.
It is our responsibility.
It is our privilege.
It is our honour.

And those who taint this sacred profession are an utter disgrace".

We've recently undergone an unplanned inspection from the NAFD (which we are long standing members of) and passed successfully for showing commitment to the highest standards of professionalism and excellence, care and service.

The certificate proudly stands within our office along with the guiding principles we adhere to at W.R Bettelley Ltd.

But as we're on a positive note with Samantha being nominated for funeral director of the year last week (nominations close August 1st- so there's still time to put your votes across for her) aaaannndd

We also have a new addition to the Bettelley's team! Meet our new limousine. Far more comfort and style for our families.

Everyone knows how dedicated and respectful we are behind the scenes, which is what we concentrate on but we think this limousine really does add the sprinkle on top!

She was nominated for this award 2 years ago so this really is some recognition to our wonderful funeral director. Lets hope this year she can make the finalists and fingers crossed a win of a trophy for her outstanding dedication to her work.

🌞Its due to be a hot one this week!! 🌞

With temperatures entering the 30's, Samantha has made the decision for her team to not wear their jackets on services throughout the heatwave. Upon a lovely team photo and noticing the drastic height difference for little Sam, we retook so they can all be her height 🤣

On a sensitive note.... if you would prefer the team to be in full traditional uniform then please do speak to Samantha, their jackets are always on hand and we will do whatever we can to ensure as perfect farewell as possible.

Samantha will still conduct in full uniform, alongside her team, to maintain the tradition, dignity and respect of your loved ones.

💫💫Today, Sam is travelling to London to attend the 2nd book release by author Evie King. Her first book was handed to Sam after a funeral she conducted for the care and respect she showed.

Evie has written Ashes to Admin (available on Amazon) which details her care as a section 46 (public funerals) employee for deceased with no Next of Kin for example.

Her second book, being launched tonight is an exciting time for Sam and The Old Chapel Kate to support Evie, to show our excitement and to be the face of fellow professionals in the industry who do genuinely care for a deceased and their life story.

Good luck Evie and off to London for Sam and Kate M! We are so honoured to have been part of this journey for Evie!💫💫

Here is some proof below of being mislead by a well advertised direct cremation company. As we posted a few weeks back and the conversation Samantha had, it once again heightens the need of transparency and the level of care we, as longstanding funeral directors, provide.

Go to your local independent funeral directors, ask the questions, visit their premises both front and back of house, see how we work and use your judgement on that basis.

Yes, the growing population do not want a "fuss", or do want a "cheaper alternative", we can offer that too, within the local area. We can offer memorial services afterwards and guidance whichever way you want to do things.

This company is obviously not what they seem and its heartbreaking for the families involved.
