Not all headaches are the same.

Some arrive suddenly and pass quickly. Others build slowly through the day, often alongside other things you might not immediately connect.

A tight jaw. A stiff neck. Heavy shoulders. Pressure around the temples. A sense of facial tightness that builds as the day goes on.

When headaches seem to come with tension elsewhere in the face, jaw or neck, it can be worth understanding what may be contributing to them.

This is an area Dana has a particular interest in. Facial osteopathy looks at the connections between the jaw, face, skull and neck, and how tension in one area can affect how others feel.

If your headaches feel connected to tension rather than arriving out of nowhere, it may be worth a conversation.

Dana is always happy to answer questions before you book. Visit stoneosteopaths.co.uk to find out more. 🤍

Good care starts before any treatment happens.

It starts with being listened to properly. With having time to explain what's been going on, without feeling rushed or dismissed. With understanding what the practitioner is thinking and why.

At Stone Osteopaths, every appointment begins with a conversation. Faye and Dana take time to understand your history, your daily life and what you're hoping for before anything else happens.

Then, if treatment feels like the right next step, it's gentle, considered and always explained clearly.

And sometimes the most valuable thing we can offer is simply reassurance that things look okay.

That matters too.

If that's the kind of care you've been looking for, you're very welcome here. Visit stoneosteopaths.co.uk to find out more. 🤍

School holidays can sometimes show you things you hadn't quite noticed during term time.

More running around. More sport. More days out. More screen time on the sofa. And sometimes, more complaints about aching legs, a sore back or a neck that doesn't feel right.

When routines change, discomfort can become easier to notice.

If your child is avoiding movement, complaining more than usual after activity or mentioning the same ache repeatedly, it may be worth a gentle check before the new term starts.

Faye works with young people aged 8 to 17 at Stone Osteopaths and takes time to understand what's going on before deciding what might help.

You're always welcome to message us first if you'd like to ask a question. Visit stoneosteopaths.co.uk to find out more. 🤍

If you've been meaning to do something about it, this is a gentle reminder that you still can.

Not a push. Not a deadline. Just a quiet nudge for the thing you keep meaning to get around to.

The back pain you keep managing around. The neck tension that keeps returning. The headaches you keep working through. The jaw tightness you keep noticing. The ache your child keeps mentioning.

You don't have to have it all figured out before you reach out.

Faye and Dana are welcoming new patients at Stone Osteopaths. Unhurried appointments, gentle care, and time to actually listen.

Visit stoneosteopaths.co.uk to find out more or book when you're ready. 🤍

A gentle reset for the tension you might be holding right now.

Pause for a moment.

Let your shoulders soften away from your ears.

Unclench your jaw.

Take one slow breath.

Gently turn your head from side to side, only as far as feels comfortable.

Notice where things feel tight or restricted.

The body often holds tension in ways we don't notice until we stop and pay attention.

If you find the same areas are always tight, or if movement feels restricted in a way that doesn't ease, it may be worth a gentle look.

Faye and Dana are always happy to help. Visit stoneosteopaths.co.uk to find out more. 🤍

The place that hurts is only part of the story.

Osteopathy looks at the whole picture, not just the area that's uncomfortable. Because often, the part that's causing pain isn't where the problem started.

A stiff lower back might be connected to how you're sitting, how you're sleeping or how your hips are moving. A persistent headache might have more to do with your jaw or your shoulders than your head.

This is why every appointment at Stone Osteopaths begins with a proper conversation.

Faye and Dana take time to understand your history, your daily life and how you've been feeling before they assess anything. Because understanding the full picture is what makes the care genuinely useful.

If you'd like to know more, you're always welcome to visit stoneosteopaths.co.uk or message us first. 🤍

There's a kind of discomfort that becomes so familiar you stop noticing it.

The stiff neck. The aching back. The tension headaches. The way you feel after a long day of sitting, driving or carrying.

When something happens often enough, you start working around it without realising. You adjust. You manage. You assume it's just how things are.

But your comfort matters.

You don't have to keep adjusting around something that could be looked at.

At Stone Osteopaths, Faye and Dana offer gentle, unhurried care to help you understand what may be going on and what might help.

You're always welcome to visit stoneosteopaths.co.uk to find out more, or to message us if you'd like to ask a question first. 🤍

Some headaches feel different to others.

Not the kind that arrive suddenly. More the kind that build through the day. That seem to start somewhere around the jaw, the temples or the back of the neck. That come back regularly, often alongside a sense of tightness in the face or shoulders.

If that sounds familiar, it may be worth understanding what's contributing to them.

Dana offers facial osteopathy appointments at Stone Osteopaths and has a particular interest in supporting people with tension-related headaches, jaw discomfort and facial pain.

You're always welcome to message us first if you'd like to ask a question. Visit stoneosteopaths.co.uk to find out more or book with Dana. 🤍

Are your teeth touching right now?

If they are, you might be holding tension in your jaw without realising it.

This is something a lot of people do when they're concentrating, driving, working or even sleeping. The jaw quietly clenches, and over time that tension can start to show up elsewhere.

You might notice it as a dull ache in the jaw. Tightness around the temples. Headaches that seem to arrive without a clear reason. Facial heaviness at the end of the day.

A simple reset: let your teeth part slightly, soften your tongue, drop your shoulders and take one slow breath.

If jaw tension keeps coming back, it may be worth a gentle look.

Dana has a particular interest in this area and is always happy to answer questions before you book. Visit stoneosteopaths.co.uk to find out more. 🤍

I've been thinking a lot about this recently.

We hear the phrase "health-conscious" all the time, as though making the right choices somehow guarantees perfect health.

If only it were that simple.

As healthcare professionals, we spend our lives helping people understand their bodies. But that doesn't make us immune to pain, injury or illness ourselves.

The same is true for everyone.

You can exercise regularly, eat well, manage your stress, understand your body and still find yourself needing support.

That doesn't mean you've failed.

It doesn't mean you've done something wrong.

Sometimes our bodies simply need a little extra help, and there's no shame in that.

I hope this post is a reminder to be a little kinder to yourself.

Looking after your health isn't about being perfect. It's about listening to your body, adapting when you need to, and knowing it's okay to ask for support.
