We live in a time where we are always switched on, connected to screens, notifications, responsibilities, and ambitions. Every moment seems occupied, every second accounted for.

In the pursuit of our dreams, it’s easy to forget the simple beauty around us, the scent of flowers, the warmth of sunlight, the feel of the earth beneath our feet.

To move forward, we must also pause, to notice, to breathe, and to ground ourselves. Growth isn’t only about reaching higher, it’s about staying rooted, finding balance, and carrying presence with us as we chase what sets our hearts on fire.

Grief Comes in Waves

The heart doesn’t heal in a straight path,
it moves in circles,
looping back through memories
we thought we’d already survived,
touching wounds
we believed had closed.

Some days, the ache crashes in
sharp as the first night;
other days, it ebbs,
a whisper in the background,
a shadow that moves when we do.

Over time, the jagged edges soften,
not because love has lessened,
but because it learns
a new shape inside us.

Grief weaves itself
into our days,
a quiet companion,
not an open wound.

It walks with us
into the morning light,
stands beside us
in moments of joy,
settles with us
in the stillness of night.

It does not leave; it changes,
from a force that breaks us
to a thread that binds us
to what we cherished,
to the person we are becoming
in its wake.
