🌞🚲 On Friday, our lovely Lesley headed out with some of our residents, with the fantastic assistance of Portlethen District & Voluntary Community Ambulance, for a brilliant day at the breezy boardwalk of Aberdeen Beach. 💙

They met up with the wonderful team from Cycling Without Age Scotland - Aberdeen City (CWAS) for a fantastic cycle along the beachfront, enjoying the glorious sunshine ☀️, beautiful scenery 🌊 and stunning coastal views. What a lovely way to spend the day! 😊

And, of course, no trip to the seaside would be complete without an obligatory ice cream! 🍦😋

🌞🎪 FESTIV-AULD! 🎉☀️

When the sun can’t come to the summer party, the Landale Court team simply brings the sunshine indoors! 🌞✨

What a fabulous time we all had at our annual residents’ festival-themed summer party! 🎪🎶 From delicious fish & chips 🐟🍟 and yummy ice creams 🍦 to cocktails, mocktails 🍹 and plenty of dancing 🕺 — there was something for everyone!

A massive thank you to Un1que Disco for keeping us entertained with a brilliant quiz and fantastic music 🎵🧠, and a very special thank you to Firelight for providing such wonderful live music that certainly got people up on their feet 💃🏻 🎤🎸.

We’d also like to say a huge thank you to Quayside Gourdon for the tasty fish & chips 🐟🍟 and ‘Mr Whippy ICM’ for the delicious ice creams 🍦 — the perfect summer treats!

On Saturday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Aberdeen-based chiropractor Suann Chia and Ignacio Espina, a specialist soft tissue sports massage and muscular rehabilitation therapist, both based at Health House, Rosemount. 🧘‍♀️💪

The session was attended by a wonderful mix of Brio and Chapelton residents, who enjoyed an engaging and interactive health talk covering common myths around ageing and pain, demonstrations of simple exercises that can be done at home, and the opportunity to take part in a short, informal one-to-one posture check. ✨

A huge thank you to Suann and Ignacio for sharing their expertise and practical advice with our community! 🙌

We’re also delighted that this valuable talk was made possible through the AVA Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund for Adults, which recently awarded funding to the Chapelton Community Association (CCA). The lovely Aimee, a trustee from the CCA kindly facilitated the visit and here she is pictured with Suann, Ignacio and our very own Lesley 💚

A fantastic afternoon focused on health, wellbeing and helping our community stay active and informed! 🌿😊
