It is with deep sadness that we share the sudden passing of John Shankley, aged 73 on Monday 20th July 2026.
Beloved husband of Zoe, devoted father of Anna and Louise and cherished grandpa of Millie, Freddie, Charlotte and Jack. He will be greatly missed by family, friends and all those who knew him. The funeral service will be held on Thursday 6th August at 11:30am at Baldarroch Crematorium followed by Slate & Grain, Chapelton. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend. Family flowers only please, donations to British Heart Foundation.

Peacefully at Kincardine Community Hospital on Wednesday July 8th 2026, after a short illness, Edward (Ed/ Eddie) aged 97 years, husband of the late Kathleen, loving and beloved dad to Edna and Dennis, also a dear father-in-law, granda, granda-in-law, and great-granda. Funeral service at Baldarroch Crematorium on Thursday July 23rd at 14:30. Family flowers only; dress as you please, donations in lieu to Respiratory ARI.

The family of the late Douglas Knox would like to thank all relatives, friends, and neighbours for their kind expression of sympathy received by way of cards, flowers and messages following their sad loss. Special thanks to the staff at Kincardine Community Hospital for their care for Douglas, to Rev John Watson for his comforting service, to James McDonald Funeral Directors for handling the arrangements and to the Station Hotel for the lovely refreshments. Finally, thanks to all who paid their last respects at Baldarroch and generously donated to Kincardine Community Hospital and Dunnottar (Carronside) Church, raising a total of £1100 which will be split between both organisations.

Peacefully after a courageous battle with poor health at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary on Tuesday 30th June 2026, Natalie Louise Buckley, beloved partner of Shaun, much loved mum of Joshua, Jacob, and Aimee, loving daughter of Janet and adored daughter figure of William Allan. A celebration of life will be held at Baldarroch Crematorium on Thursday 16th July at 2:30pm where donations may be kindly received for Cancer Research UK. The family have requested that you wear a pop of colour to honour Natalie’s love for the colours of nature. Family flowers only please.

Following the sad loss of Kenny - David, Kathleen, and family would like to thank all current and former members of staff at Edenholme Care Home for the exceptional level of care and support they extended to Kenny during the many years that he resided with them.
They also wish to thank the staff at James McDonald Funeral Directors for their sympathetic arrangements and Susan Falcus for presenting the eulogy.

Peacefully at ARI after a brief episode of poor health, on Tuesday June 16 2026, Julie Howie (nee Cochrane). A loving mother to Adam and Stacey, nana to Elah and Theo, loving sister to William ‘Billy’ and sister in law to Joyce. Also a dear auntie and best friend to many. A service of remembrance will be held at Aberdeen Crematorium, West Chapel on Friday July 3rd at 1:15pm where a touch of colour is preferred to honour her shiny personality. Family flowers only please, though donations may be made for the ICU at ARI and Friends of Anchor.
Julie bravely endured the many ailments and health problems she faced. There was always a smile for her visitors and neighbours. She will be sorely missed by all.

Beloved wife of the late Ian, loving and loved mother of Evelyn, Hilary and Melanie, a loving mother in law, adoring and much loved grandmother and great-grandmother. A celebration of her life will be held at Baldarroch Crematorium, Crathes on Tuesday June 23 at 10am to which all friends and family are invited. Please wear something bright. Family flowers only.
