🌑️ Amber Heat Health Alert in Gloucestershire

Very hot weather over the next few days could affect anyone’s health, but older people, young children, pregnant women and those with long-term health conditions are at greater risk of becoming unwell.

πŸ’§ Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you do not feel thirsty.

β˜€οΈ Stay in the shade where possible, especially between 11am and 3pm.

⚠️ Know the signs of heat exhaustion: dizziness, headache, feeling sick and extreme thirst. If you feel unwell, move to a cool place, drink water and seek medical advice if symptoms worsen.

🏠 Keep your home cool by closing curtains in sunny rooms during the day and opening windows when it is cooler outside.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ Check in on family, friends and neighbours who may need extra support.

πŸš— Never leave children, older people or pets in a parked car.

Take care of yourself, stay hydrated and look out for others during the hot weather. πŸ’™

Men's Talk Space at The Churn Community Hub

Our new Men's Talk Space offers a friendly space where men can talk, listen and support one another without judgement.

There is no pressure to speak if you don't feel ready. Everyone is welcome to join in at their own pace, whether you would like to share your experiences or simply listen.

This is a place where respect, kindness, and understanding are encouraged. No one is expected to have all the answers - sometimes, being listened to can make all the difference.

First and third Monday of every month
2:30pm to 4:30pm
