The Lansdown Clinic was established in 1991 in Stroud, Gloucestershire. Originally a Chiropractic Clinic, the Clinic expanded in response to a growing demand for a wider range of medical and complementary health care. Outgrowing its original location, in 2002 The Lansdown Clinic relocated to its current premises, a magnificent Georgian townhouse in the very centre of Stroud. Here at The Lansdown C

👣 **Fungal Toenails – More Than Just a Cosmetic Concern**

Fungal nail infections occur when fungi enter beneath the nail and begin to affect the way the nail grows.

Over time, the nail may become:

🔹 Thickened
🔹 Discoloured
🔹 Brittle or crumbly
🔹 Lifted from the nail bed

As the nail becomes thicker, it can become increasingly difficult to manage at home and may start causing discomfort, particularly when wearing shoes.

At the clinic, I can carefully reduce the thickness of affected nails to help relieve pressure, improve comfort, and support any ongoing treatment plan.

Many people think fungal nails are simply a cosmetic issue, but thickened nails can trap debris, become uncomfortable, and in some cases even affect mobility.
