Our Catch 23 Writers Group has many talented members. Here is an AMAZING and very poignant poem written by Josie M-Townsend at last week's group that I just wanted to share with everyone....
"Skyworks
I never knew work could be something to look forward to. It's like the blue sky, endless depths of potential, risen to new heights, crisp and fresh. Occasionally clouded by challenges, but ever present. The sun never stops shining, these are my colleagues, always happy to share a little light, keep the sky bright, and warm, and safe.
And the people we're working for - the wind. They bring a breath of fresh air, always keeping things moving and interesting. Could we appreciate the blue sky without the clouds the wind brings?
Every day is another day, ripe with potential. The sky will always be there, even if it sometimes looks a little different if you have to go somewhere else. But you will never feel the sun, see the sky, or the rain, if you don't step outside, take a breath, and look up"
Attached is a photo of our LOVELY and SUPER TALENTED Josie and one of a BEAUTIFUL, and ultimately hopeful, memorial in Dorchester in Dorset (where I'm currently on holiday) remembering folk who lost their lives in service to their country, in the two world-wars and during the Pandemic. π Xx
