Ladies within the Rosemary community have enjoyed the fresh air and slightly cooler temperatures over the weekend by taking some strolls around the garden and picking some of our fresh home grown tomatoes for a quick taste test

Thanks to the beautiful blooms kindly gifted by Freddie’s Flowers, residents enjoyed a lovely flower arranging session, creating a colourful display to brighten any area.

There was creativity, conversation, and a wonderful sense of achievement as the arrangement took shape, with every resident adding their own personal touch.

Flower arranging is a calming and purposeful activity that encourages creativity, supports dexterity, and brings people together through shared enjoyment. Best of all, the finished displays can be admired by everyone throughout the home.

The Parkfield Page Turners Book Club came together to discuss the first half of The Couple Next Door, sharing their thoughts, theories, and plenty of predictions about what might happen next!

There was lively discussion, different perspectives, and lots of laughter as everyone compared their favourite characters, debated the twists so far, and wondered what surprises the second half of the story might hold.

Book clubs offer so much more than the joy of reading. They encourage conversation, stimulate memory and critical thinking, build confidence, and create meaningful friendships through shared experiences.

Many hands help our garden bloom. 🌿🌸

Our Gardening Club has been busy making the most of the warmer, overcast weather, spending time pruning, caring for our flower beds, and checking on the progress of our Cinnamon in Bloom entries.

There was teamwork, conversation, and plenty of pride as residents worked together to keep our outdoor spaces looking their very best.

Our axe throwing sessions are fast becoming one of the most popular activities on our summer programme, with residents eagerly lining up to test their aim and cheer each other on.

There was laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of celebration with every successful throw, creating an atmosphere full of encouragement and fun.

Our young volunteer, Isla, enjoyed a one-to-one game of dominoes with Mr S, sharing plenty of conversation, laughter, and a little friendly competition along the way.

These quieter moments create just as much impact as our larger group activities. They provide time to build meaningful relationships, encourage conversation, and ensure every resident enjoys personalised engagement centred around their interests.

Intergenerational friendships like these are something we truly value. They bring different generations together, creating opportunities to learn from one another, share experiences, and brighten each other’s day.

Sometimes the best connections… are made one domino at a time. ✨

Residents have been busy tending to the garden, watering and caring for our strawberry and tomato plants, while also checking on our entries for the Cinnamon in Bloom competition. 🌸

There was teamwork, conversation, and a real sense of pride as everyone helped nurture the garden, watching their hard work begin to flourish.

Gardening offers so many benefits, encouraging gentle physical activity, supporting wellbeing, and giving residents a meaningful sense of purpose as they care for something together. It’s also a wonderful way to enjoy the fresh air and celebrate the changing seasons.

Every object tells a story and every story deserves to be heard.

Residents enjoyed exploring a wonderful memory box on loan from the The Royal Mint, filled with pre- and post-decimal coins, foreign currency, medals, and fascinating photographs. Each item sparked memories, conversations, and stories from years gone by.

There was reminiscing, shared experiences, and plenty of discussion as residents compared memories of old coins, travelling abroad, national service, and the changing world around them.

Reminiscence sessions like these do so much more than look back at the past. They support memory, strengthen identity, encourage conversation, and create meaningful connections as residents share their life experiences with one another.

Sometimes the smallest objects… unlock the biggest memories.

Hard work pays off and today we’re celebrating a fantastic achievement! 🎉

Every member of our team is encouraged and supported to develop their knowledge, build new skills, and progress in their career through ongoing learning and professional development opportunities.

We’re making the most of the slight drop in temperature with a little stroll into Stourbridge.

Joined by Lola and our young volunteer Isla a few of the ladies had a stroll into town and enjoyed pointing out all the differences between then and now and discussing high street shops that are sadly no more

We did some window shopping and stopped for a lovely coffee at Coffee #1 and had a stroll around The Ryemarket Shopping Centre

Outings like these are a great way for residents to maintain independence and complete their own shopping and get out into the local community
