Our 60-minute Pain & Wellness Clinic appointments are designed to give you the time you deserve. Each consultation includes a comprehensive assessment followed by treatment tailored specifically to your needs. Depending on your condition, your personalised treatment plan may include physiotherapy, acupuncture, soft tissue therapy, dry cupping, joint injections (where clinically appropriate), exercise rehabilitation, lifestyle advice, pain education and, where indicated, the prescribing of medication within Ian’s scope of practice.

I cannot recommend Ian and Claire at Mariko enough.

Starting my aesthetics training was a huge step for me, I have always struggled with imposter syndrome and self belief. From the very beginning, Ian and Claire have supported me, encouraged me and helped me to build my confidence in more ways I could imagine.

Ian and Claire have always taken the time to understand my commitments, my training days and times were arranged around my children. Not only is George our nephew—keeping things firmly within the Mariko family—but he is also a fully qualified Physiotherapist, Sports Massage Therapist, and specialist in Dry Cupping and Trigger Point Acupuncture.

George is a young, dynamic, hands-on clinician who is passionate about helping people move better, recover faster, and get back to doing what they love. With over 40 years of clinical experience as a Chartered Physiotherapist and now an Independent Prescriber, Ian will be offering a comprehensive, patient-centred approach to managing both acute and persistent pain.

Every patient will receive a thorough, in-depth assessment, followed by a bespoke treatment plan tailored specifically to their individual needs. Treatment may include rehabilitation, physiotherapy, pain management strategies and, where clinically appropriate, prescription medication—all managed within one seamless service.

This has been many months of intensive postgraduate study, clinical training, supervised practice and examinations, and we couldn’t be happier to celebrate this fantastic achievement.
