I am still busy working on developing The Neurodivergent Sisterhood at the moment. Hopefully, I will have some updates by the end of August/September.

In the meantime, I've set up a separate page for it which you can access from the link above. 😊

The July social walk for Neurodivergent Sisterhood Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, & Stourbridge was to the Wolverley/Cookley canal, and The Lock cafe.
It ended up being more of a cafe session than a walk, August will probably be the same due to the heat, but what a lovely find. I shall definitely return to the little cafe again. The gluten free and vegan frangipane was amazing. 🤩😋

Back in April, I attended the Menoyoga® CPD course and this past week I finally got the assessments submitted and passed. 😊
It was a fantastic course, with teaching that goes well beyond just the yoga asana practice. 🧘🏼‍♀️
Thank you to Sally Parkes Yoga and team. 🙏🏼

On Monday evening, members from the Neurodivergent Sisterhood Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, & Stourbridge met at the beautiful Belbrougton Church Hall for the monthly Mindfulness Mashup as I randomly started calling it. 😆

These sessions are very relaxed and although they start with a plan, there is room for change based on the group. They combine techniques from mindfulness, yoga, touch for health kinesiology, and seasonal living, connecting it all to the autistic and ADHD experience.

The Neurodivergent Sisterhood Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, & Stourbridge also met for our monthly coffee morning ☕ at The Talbot Chaddesley Corbett this week.

It is such a lovely pub and it was lovely and cool inside which was a welcome relief.

A picture of my dog as I don't take pictures of group members. 😊🐶

Thank you to Trish and Mark at The Crafty Jelly, based at JHAC - Jelleyman's Heritage Arts Charity in Kidderminster, for a wonderful evening of Kinusaiga with Neurodivergent Sisterhood Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, & Stourbridge last night.

What an amazing place, with great energy and wonderful people. It is a hidden gem.

They have an event all weekend, 11am-4pm, and it is definitely worth a visit.

Goodness, it is HOT right now and it is forcast to get even hotter over the next few days.
Hot weather can be challenging for autistic and adhd people, for a variety of reasons. It could be:
Medications affecting how your body tolerates heat.
Remembering to drink enough water, or not liking to drink water.
Sensory challenges.
Common co-occurring conditions such as PoTS or Orthostatic Intolerance.
Perimenopause making everything worse!

Here are a few of the ways that I stay cool in the hot weather. If you have any more top tips then please do share them in the comments.

😬 Apologies for being quiet recently. I've been focusing my energies on growing the Neurodivergent Sisterhood group, for late diagnosed autistic, ADHD, and AuDHD women and people assigned female at birth in the Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, Stourbridge, and Halesowen areas.

📆 Almost 6 months since starting and we now have 170 members and some of us have met up for social walks (followed by refreshments and chatting at a pub), craft evenings, coffee mornings, and Mindfulness for autism and ADHD sessions. The group is for community, not profit. 🤗

🥰 It is turning into something quite wonderful and everyone is so lovely.

💻 The link to the group and the website page will be in the comments.
